Metal Gear Solid: Philanthropy is a 2009 non-profit Fan made movie created by Hive Division, a team of Italian students and filmmakers. It is written, directed, edited and stars Giacomo Talamini, a 27 year old Italian student filmmaker. It follows the exploits of Snake, Otocon, and their NGO Philanthropy as they seek to rid the world of the threat of Metal Gear.
The film has been in some form of production since 2004, and finally goes live for FREE download from their website in 10 hours. Working with almost no budget, the team of Hive Division have crafted a visually stunning film, and even got Aoife Ferry(the singer of "The Best Is Yet To Come" from MGS1) to sing the opening and ending themes.

Need to find the time to watch this.
The quality of the film is truly amazing, being that this team of film-students spent only 10,000 EURO($13,000 USD) and their spare time to make it. The locales, visual effects, voice-work(in case you were worried about the heavy Italian accents from the early trailers years ago), and original music are quite an achievement.
