It comes with any new store bought copy, be it CE, Normal, or Digital Download.

The dragon video was the best thing.

Kinda disappointed about it for one reason though:
The dragon didn't do SHIT. Just kinda sat there and took it. The dragon did more damage to the orcs (or whatever they are) than to the party of adventurers. Also sword to the side was like going through semi-cold butter.. somewhat stupid.

    Still the best thing, though.

Polearms are really cool. If animators are inventive they have some of the most interesting animations (and conceptually they are often very interesting, not to mention multi-purpose).

That reminds me of how low-magic BG2 was in terms of items. The things that it took most of the game to find and piece together would always be like +4, +20% chance to do extra damage.

Edit: Mage-Lady is the angry person whose mother was killed for being a witch. I'm guessing sneers just come naturally when you are so very angry.

Also, I'm guessing that video is the intro vid. There's no way a fight of any kind is done in a cutscene.

I'll be honest. Polearms in general tend to get the shaft stat-wise, but fuck do I just want to whirl around with a halberd and do cool shit.

Anyway, a little LTTP. I saw the vids awhile back (when Commoner was still in), but to be honest combat looked a little slow/uninspired. Since I don't really care *that* much about casters, any more interesting details come out on what you can do in melee combat? Or is it just mostly hit things, press a button to stun/knockdown every now and again?

Alternatively, when can we expect to see info on Champion, Duelist, and Arcane Warrior?

    One would think so.

Also, I haven't seen this anywhere, but I may have just overlooked it, but anyone know if every class just have a generic energy/blue bar for their skills or are there different mechanics depending on the class i.e. rage/energy/mana bars WoW style?

There was some I saw last night. Can't get to it at work, but check the Dragon Age wikia.

Templar had some powers listed, at least. +mental resistance, AoE dispel, mana drain on hit, one other thing that I can't remember.

So whats this about the 360 and PC versions having significant differences?

I would hope that the PC version will have the ability to function like the consoles when a controller is plugged in or something.

The PC version has the ability to function like the console version all the time, actually. Because the only significant change in the console version is the elimination of the strategic viewpoint. So on the consoles, it plays like Mass Effect, only you can switch characters and alter party AI. On the PC, it plays like BG2, unless you want to play it like Mass Effect.

Finally pre-ordered Dragon Age now that I have the money for it. Gamestop was out of the limited edition, but oh well.

I have kept up with absolutely nothing about this game. No lore, no classes, no character development. All I know is that it's a spiritual successor to BG2, it is coming out later than I thought it was, and that EA has had a terrible marketing campaign for it.

Well better AI is difficult to qualify, I've yet to run into a game where the players AI helpers seem to be worth shit.

If they move out of the way out of big nasty attacks I'll be pleased, gambit system or not. Unless there is a gambit that says "IF BIG UGLY REARS UP RUN AWAY!"

Yeah, I don't understand how "better" is even a quality you can ascribe to AI that you can modify. I suppose they could have more command types on the 360, although that would definitely be an odd decision.

Well again guessing, but I think it might have to do with movement, because of the lack of the iso view on the 360 it would be harder to move 4 guys around in a fight, even with pausing (I believe the 360 version doesnt let you pick movement points during a pause where as the pc will be able to).
