I'll probably give human and elf archers a try and do a shield smashing dwarf.
A nobleman archer seems a bit more unique than a quasi Wood Elf archer, if you are at all concerned with that.

Give him the moustache, too, with white hair. Maybe the mystic or the wise voice. Old gramps decided foxes weren't worth the trouble any more. Huntin' the most dangerous game now.

Edit: You can give people black hair, too.
You know what I hate? Why is it impossible to change eye color or your nose or give your character a new hairstyle or change skin color or give them facial hair or change the shape of their jawline or alter the ears or the mouth at all or apply some sort of facial tattooing?
My character finally got uploaded to the Social Network site. I should probably change his name, though. He's Darrian right now, which was the default name. I kind of liked it and never bothered to change it. I suppose I should. But for now, it will do.
I'm just a little disappointed he starts off with dual weapons instead of a sword and shield.

My character finally got uploaded to the Social Network site. I should probably change his name, though. He's Darrian right now, which was the default name. I kind of liked it and never bothered to change it. I suppose I should. But for now, it will do.

Finally got my problem fixed after reinstalling to a different drive. Stupid-ass Vista.
Anyway, I'm really pleased with the graphics. The characters look really nice, and just flipping through the different speech options reveals a solid range of expression. I'm quite happy 'bout that.
Only 21 days until my birthday and the release of Dragon Age. Woo!

He kinda looks like he would be the lead character in a mix of The Princess Bride and The Curse of Monkey Island
The character creator is pretty flexible. You can make pretty characters and truly hideous manbeasts. They all have brown teeth though. It's offputting when a good-looking female character starts talking and flashes rotten teeth.
The social site is neat too. I had doubts when they first announced it. I thought it was just another marketing gimmick. The character sheet complete with inventory and stat-tracking will be good for the epeen though, like WoWHead.
On the very last screen of the chargen, when you get to the summary of your character, you hit Upload to Site if you're logged in, which you do in the lower-left.

I found this slightly frustrating since, apparently the ring is available to Xbox owners who use the Character Creator on their PC as well...buuut I'm going to be playing the Xbox 360 version out of a literal inability to use even the Character Generator.
