This has been asked and answered (with 100% less snark than some) already.
Due to the time constraints we had, we were unable to make this happen on the console versions. Console players can still use the Character Creator to have fun and upload their character to the Social site, but they will not be able to be transferred to your console games.
On the bright side, creating a character and uploading it earns you the "Lucky Stone" and in game ring that you WILL be able to use on your Xbox 360 or PS3. Not to mention that it is a bunch of fun.
Ingame it's more obvious, thankfully. Since all humans escape from the womb fully grown you can be dead certain that anyone shorter than the norm is either an elf or a dwarf. The distinction between those two is made easy on account of dwarfs being extra wide.
Damned elves, walking around looking like tiny half people.
We should start a pool. Guess how long it takes from the game's release until the first nude mod appears. I bet less than a week. You know there's got to be some creepy people already working on it in the toolset beta.

Can't very well be referring to the main character as "HEY, LISTEN" all the time.

I just now noticed that Tim Curry is doing a voice for this game, what is his deal? Is he a totally cool guy and loves video games, or is he just so far out there that he cant be in movies anymore and only plays, or what? Does he show up at E3 to play the games?
I rather like the character creation system. Except for the fact that you can't really choose anything beyond your appearance and are locked into certain abilities/spells/whatever.
And no scars.
And everyone's teeth looks like they have a two pack a day habit and gargle with coffee.
Okay, there's a few things I don't like about the character creation system.
So whoever is in charge of the PA group on the site, I just requested to join with my Bio name of cheesemage. Also my first attempt with the character creator.

But other than that!
It is sort of odd, considering that I was able to pick a skill or two at character creation when I played the game at Comic Con. At least, this is what I am remembering. I might be completely wrong, but I swear there was some choice involved.

They tried to bury us. They didn't know that we were seeds. 2018 Midterms. Get your shit together.
Damn, I was going more for that "Walked in on a Broodmother orgy" look. Back to the drawing board.
Nightmares. For weeks. Thanks a lot.
Smirk.
Smiiiiiiirrrrrrrrk.
I did not expect a smarmyness slider, but it is a welcome feature. It makes some of them look a little less like soulless murder machines. A little.
He's staring into my soul!
I'm going to go cry now.
It's not just a smarmyness slider.
Dude, don't do that. you can simple click "Modify/Delete Character" on the Main Menu and change it there. Real Simple.
Apparently there's some kind of Live/PSN tab on the social site no one can access yet, so maybe the character creator will make it over.
EDIT: Whoops, nevermind

Barbarian forest elf is not amused:
I can barely tell that some of these are even elves.

I'll have you know I made the character look around as well.
Has to do with your origin.

And in the case of the Human or Dwarf nobles, they are members of specific named families.

We make similar characters. Here's mine from earlier today:
I've since turned her into a City Elf so that I would have one of each Origin, but at the time she was very similar.

Obviously your characters have taken up adventuring early and are currently tearing a bloody swath through Bioware's server farm.
You should be proud.
