Some servers are installed under tools as the games are installed. I currently have 18, but would have many more if I had more games I've purchased on steam installed.

I just tried out the demo for Defense Grid: The Awakening. Definitely warrants a $10 purchase. This thing is going to devour my weekend.

Defense Grid is awesome. It keeps getting overlooked in favour of Plants Vs Zombies, but after trying the demo for it, it just didn't grab me the same way DG did. I even went back and started doing the levels for gold medals at some point, although I still haven't gotten them all yet.

Starting it up for the first time, I have the same problem too. I think it has something to do with it being an older game using newer video cards.

Also, wasn't there a hi-res texture pack released online somewhere-ish?

EDIT: My google-fu is STRONG. http://www.moddb.com/mods/project-hdtp/downloads

EDIT EDIT: Aaaaaand apparently it's only in it's demo phase. Poop.

You need to switch from 16 bit colour mode to 32 bit in the graphics settings.

Or download Deus Ex Fixer, which is awesome.

Activision is basically the worst. I don't plan on buying it until it comes down a bit. My gameboner is way harder for several other games so MW2 isn't really even on my mind.

I ended up buying CoD4 when it came down in price, and I'll do the same with MW2.

Gosh, the one thing I really, REALLY want salvaged from deus ex was what they did with multiplayer, if you were really good, you got really fat, and if you were really bad, really skinny. At least, I think that was what happened. The point is that it kind of balanced it out for newbies and made it more epic when Jabba the Hutt in a Unatco uniform dodged your rockets and killed you with some tranq darts.

Call of Duty 4 is a 2 year old game that still costs AU$50 on Steam. Flicking through multiplayer FPS games on Steam I can pick any number of games on there that are just as fun to play as CoD4, made sooner than it was (which is a lazy comparison of graphical capability I will admit), and cheaper, around the AU$30 mark.

I think I got it during a Christmas sale or something a long time after it was out and everyone was done with it. The fact that it's still $40 is just crazy. Considering the multiplayer is really just standard fps fare at this point, and not all that fun in my opinion, and while the campaign is quite good it's very short and not much fun to replay on harder difficulty at all.

    Laser sighted nade spam wooooweeee.

I'm actually surprised they're not even doing a MW1&2 pack for reduced overall price. Most devs would be smart enough to get in on something like that and make a bit of extra cash. They absolute key thing about DD is how flexible it makes pricing for devs, making all sorts of options available to make more cash. IW seem obsessed with actually keeping the price up instead of getting a snap sale going and making more money with it. It's a brick-and-mortar store manner of thinking, but that doesn't always apply with DD.

It's almost like they want to complain about low sales instead of taking advantage of what DD could do for their profit margins. In which case what was even the point of putting the game on Steam? Yes games sell at full price on Steam, especially hyped ones, but if we've learned anything over the past few years, it's that targeted and snap sales can massively boost revenue well beyond simply maintaining your high price point. Heck Valve alone have proved that again and again, and numerous other devs and publishers have followed suit since.

Sometime during the day, whenever they feel like getting off their asses. Then expect the servers to be slammed for at least 12 hours so your game won't unlock till then, plus any other unforseen errors. :P

Are you talking about the 4th level?
If I recall correctly the end of that tunnel is a like a big open window with a corpse there? You can jump over that and if you follow the path long enough you should find a TV to smash but the problem is the crowbar you need to be able to smash it is hidden at a completely different end of the level. The whole 4th area is completely non linear and there are about 4 different sections that you are able to get to right off the bat but only one of those sections has the crowbar you need.

If you want to know where the crowbar is.
In the big room where the warehouse is from the second level there are two doors one leads to a TV in a big square room and the other a series of underwater caverns that lead back to the apartment you're going to want the latter and the crowbar will be on a bed at the back of that area.

Sorry if that's a bit confusing but the level design at this point is pretty bloody confusing making it tough to explain.
