It's so much easier to transfer from a friend or another PC. No actual installation is required... transfer and launch
I actually just keep everything WoW related on an external hard drive. It really is as simple as plugging it in and launching. The only hit or miss is you tend to get problems running the test client that I've yet to figure out, but it ensures that I'll never miss a raid as long as there's a decent computer somewhere nearby
Wow, apparently you CAN install WoW from scratch with just the Wrath dvd. That's handy.
Wait what? Vanilla and BC are both on the Wrath disc?

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
O.K. this is probably irrelevant to everyone but it really annoyed me yesterday. In the 5 man heroic toc how relevant is it for DPS to be following marks and/or switched to the add? I have only run it a few times since I started playing again and the first 5-6 times we ran through (same tank with me healing) with zero issues. I mean I could've gone and made a sandwich it was so simple. Yesterday I had a warrior, a lock, and a mage all taking big hits left and right and I don't have the foggiest where from. We limped through and managed to finish but it pissed me off because I can only assume I was screwing up the healing.
I had the same tank I usually do, but holy crap I actually went oom from spamming heals all over the place. My friend who tanked it claimed that they kept attacking the chick that summons the nightmare and messing stuff up (despite tremor being down people would go 100% --> 0% during a fear). I am not so sure.
I just don't know what the hell went wrong and it's frustrating. If I'm screwing it up I'd rather know that I got carried the first half dozen times and fix whatever the hell is going wrong.
I'm pretty sure Paltress is invulnerable while the shade is up. It's easy for softer classes to die during a fear just by catching 2-3 smites in a row. I don't know enough about shaman healing to say what you could do to deal with it other than the tremor totem you're already using. As a disc priest I just keep a shield on everyone to absorb the smites and then throw the tank heals as necessary.
There's a lot of chance involved in 5-man ToC with faction champ composition, who gets smited when you get Paltress, who gets marked on Black Knight phase 3, etc. It doesn't sound like you were underperforming.
I was having some problems healing during Paletress on my shaman, and then I started dropping grounding totems whenever I could. Made a world of difference for me.
YMMV
Yeah I tried this, and didnt see my totem being destroyed, so I assumed it was not working.
The dispelling of the renew is knowledge im sure most of my pugs didnt know, and being a healer I had no clue. But since I am a shaman i will make sure I dispel her ass from now on.
Try it once more Kai... seems to work for me. If it doesn't you can call me a liar.
I'll see if I can get a chatlog of it though for reference, I mean I'm gonna be there anyways going for the healing mace.

I kind of stopped caring cause I was much better off using totem of wrath and just healing harder.
If you are setting out just to get the title, you will want to hang yourself. If you do it because you enjoy pvp, you will eventually get a full reputation bar and a cool title.

I had a fun little time reinstalling after getting back into the game. I only played at launch and again like a year later so my discs are originals.
I installed off all those discs and then found out that the install is seen as so out of date as to be useless. The blizzard downloader launched and decided that I had to just go the entire digital download route, 4.something GB later and I still had a bunch of patches to install too. Blech.
It sounds like it took your vanilla install into account to me, when I recently did a fresh download it was 12 or 13GB. Boy that took a while.

I've been having issues since the 3.0.8 patch (Crashes, constant freezing on exit) and finally got fed up about it so I reinstalled.
Okay someone try and talk me out of getting the Conqueror title, I'm half way through honored with WSG and AB.
This will take months.
But Conqueror so cool!
I like BG's, WSG kills me. everytime. I'll queue for one, endure 5 minutes then log for at least an hour to get rid of the heebie-jeebies. WSG gives me high blood pressure.
Dug through old screenshots and found some huntery PVP:
That was a crapton of damage back in vanilla. Most clothies were lucky to break 3.5k hp, and here I did over 4k with aimed shot, autoshot + multishot. BOOM.

I played for about five minutes today on a netbook off of a flash drive. it was borderline exhilerating but I forgot my mouse and this keyboard is just retarded small. though if I have trouble sleeping which I tend to in hotels I see myself playing either my lvl 8 hunter alt or some other younging character. less oh shit moments where my fingers have to move quickly at level 8 :P

God forbid if it was a mage and they blinked towards you and you raptor struck them for 2k.
I'm kinda stuck on something...according to the guide I'm using you can train to grand master engineer when you hit skill lvl 350, but I'm skill lvl 352 and the trainers in Dalaran/Warsong Hold have no options available. Have I just done something stupid, or am I supposed to be lvl 375?

I think you need to get a Grand Master Trainer for that. Off to Northrend !

The requirements to learn Northrend levels of professions are 350 in your profession and level 65.
Well Blizzard doesn't want my money right now. I haven't yet bought Burning Crusade and I tried upgrading my account online but it keeps complaining about my CC information, same CC I used for my subscription so I don't know what the problem is.
All the online retailers that claim to sell keys look sketchy so I guess I'll have to go and buy the box sometime this weekend.

You can go to Northrend at level 1, so you can learn them as soon as you get 350.
No, you can't, there's a level limit. 65. Infact, even lower levels of crafting have level limits. 200+ for example is level 35, if I recall correctly.
I hate you for getting it
it has become Rivendale's Charger for me. Every week for the last year plus I have killed him and he refuses to drop it other than waste 20+ minutes of my time

Terokk drops that "suit"? I always wondered where it comes from. Atleast I have something to hope for while grinding Skyguard rep.
Jaina and Sylvanas ran quickly down the halls of the Undercity, giggling loudly and drawing the attention of many Forsaken residents. Laughter was admittedly uncommon in the Undercity. More so was the sight of a human. A blond human. A scantily clad blond human, running hand-in-hand with Lady Sylvanas....
The two continued deeper into the city, rushing past Jeremiah Payson, the cockroach vendor. The flash of Jaina's yellow hair and gleeful chirps from the two women causing brief flickers of his former life to swirl into his memory. The thoughts were of his wife, and his sister, and of his own life before the plague had taken him. And while it was unusual to see the living here, these trysts between the Dark Lady and Jaina were becoming much more frequent, or so he had heard. "Even in undeath," he thought to himself, "gossip is alive and vigorous."
Finally arriving at Sylvanas' quarters, the two burst through the door and slammed it just as quickly behind them. Inside the dimly lit room, there was near silence. All that could be heard above the slow fiery crackle from the burning candles was Jaina's fast breath and strongly beating heart. Sylvanas then leaned in and took a deep breath near her. Her closeness and the smell of Jaina's sweat simultaneously aroused and shook her. Then slowly, they walked together to her bed and laid down.
They began to kiss sofly, and Jaina briefly looked at the shadows splayed by the candle-light across the room. Then suddenly, one of the shadows moved!
"Sylvanas, my sweet. I think I just saw something move!"
"Oh yes. That's Bragor Bloodfist. The Kor'Kron Captain. Just ignore him."
