RE Agrabah: The Kh games like many generic Disney games, are designed roughly like theme parks with thematic areas. Agrabah's the only desert one, so it's here to stay. On the other hand, you can substitute PotC for Peter Pan, or the Lion King for Tarzan.
It's not stated anywhere in the game, just those Nomura interviews that where he apparently needs to keep clarifying the snarl that is the KH plot.
Xion started out genderless. After absorbing Sora's strongest memories, Xion began to look like a black-haired Kairi in reality. That is base-level canon from Nomura's mouth. How she appears depends on the observer, but in reality Xion's form is still a black haired Kairi.
Also, if Axel met Namine, then if Xion simply appeared based on memories, then he should have seen Namine. Remember, when Xigbar saw Ven in Xion, he saw Ven's face, Ven's clothes, and he saw Ven's habitual expression towards him (drowning goldfishes... the bastard). When Axel sees Xion, he sees a black-haired Kairi, not a blonde-haired Namine in a white dress.
In fact, that Xion appears as a black-haired Kairi alone should be a tipoff. If her appearance depended entirely on memories, the black-haired Kairi shouldn't exist - there was no black-haired Kairi for anyone to remember, just a blonde and a redhead one.
Lastly, even from day one when Xion hadn't unmasked to anybody, she's still wearing the same heels as Larxene, and her body is still quite clearly that of a female.
" If her appearance depended entirely on memories"
That's because it doesn't depends on memories but on the viewer's perception (which itself is partially shaped by memories), and the recall's not perfect. Axel still notes the foremost thing about Xion is she reminds him of Naminé. If Xigbar sees a perfect Ven, that must be because Vent did a really strong impression on him (something he confirms in the reports). Roxas only knows Kairi through the remainders of Sora in him, and Axel only was with Naminé for a short while, so it's normal they get it only partially right.
That the puppet is roughly female-shaped is irrelevant, since it doesn't make it any less of a puppet. In the Ultimania guide Nomura even mentions Xigbar only addresses her as a girl because Roxas does. Same guide says Axel sees her as a female because of Roxas' influence. In fact going through the guide I can find multiple references to Xion's appearance depending on the observer and none to a "true" appearance, and thats as official as it gets, so I'd be interested by a link to that Nomura interview you refer to.
I havent seen any FF characters yet, which should ALWAYS be priority over Disney characters
Final Fantasy has never taken priority over Disney in any Kingdom Hearts game. What are you talking about?
indeed, in fact the first game originally was just Disney with extra original characters. It's on a whim that Nomura, who needed some more original roles to be filled, decided to use his FF creations.
That's pretty amusing especially since for no reason (I finished TWEWY in May) I've been saying so Zetta slow all morning. Hell I've even tried working it into a post here to no success.

FF8's would be my favorite "main" FF soundtrack.
And really? Compared to the Xeonsaga, Wild Arms, SMT, Saga, Guilty Gear, Chrono, Valkyrie Profile, Tales of, etc. Soundtracks? Well, there's enough variation out there that everyone has to have a favorite in something different.
I think my absolute favorites are Xenosaga II, Xenosaga III, Romancing Saga: Minstrel's Song, Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, Star Ocean 3, Wild Arms XF, Crisis Core, & The World Ends With You. Narrowing it down further... is hard.

That Axel says Xion reminds her of Namine should be obvious - they have the exact same face. He can't very well say that she reminds him of Kairi when he's never seen her before. Also, may I ask your definition of 'strong impression'? Axel knew Namine for one month - almost certainly longer than the amount of time Braig is going to spend with [strike]Roxas from the past[/strike] Ven. Axel's memories of Namine should be perfectly fine.
That the puppet is roughly female-shaped is irrelevant, since it doesn't make it any less of a puppet.
Wait, aren't we arguing whether or not Xion had a gender, and not whether or not she's a Replica? Assuming we can assign genders to Replicas in the first place, that Xion's body was always that of a female should lend credence to the idea that Xion is female.
My interpretation of the 'Roxas' influence' statement was that since Roxas accepted Xion as his friend, Axel did likewise, and that's why he could see Xion as Kairi. In fact, it was immediately after he proclaims that any friend of Roxas was also a friend of his that Xion appeared unhooded to him.
Right, Nomura says that Xigbar only refers to Xion as a girl (and 'Poppet') because he's going with how Roxas does it, because he sees her as a blank slate for most of the game. I don't deny that's what most of the Org. sees Xion as - we get several cutscenes with the Hood going up and down to emphasize the fact.
EDIT: Going through the Secret Reports, everyone except Saix and Vexen refer to Xion as female. And even Saix starts referring to Xion as female by day 250+. What this means, though? *shrug*
That does not change the fact that Xion was created from Sora's memories (based on the Sora vs. Xemnas fight in Hollow Bastion), and at the time of creation Sora's strongest memories were of Kairi, and thus Xion took on the form of Sora's strongest memories, up until approximately one week before the end of 358/2, because she'd absorbed so many pf Sora's memories that she ended up taking Sora's form perfectly.
Also, I really could've sworn the Ultimania guide mentioned Xion's true form being the black-haired Kairi. Guess I was wrong. My bad. Really should have done my research better.
Kingdom Hearts has never been a paragon of wonderful level design, people.
Well, aside from KH1 Hollow Bastion. KH1 Hollow Bastion.
While I liked Hollow Bastion, there was one part of that level that just ticked me right off. It was one of the rooms outside, which spawned a lot of those flying Heartless. Nine times out of ten, it was all "Cool aerial combo, bro, but you comboed off of the edge while doing it. Have fun climbing back up from the basement!

Imma letchu finish, but everyone knows that Super Metroid has the greatest soundtrack of all time. I'd seriously put it before FFVI.

I died once. It was easy as hell the second time as I noticed he moves in certain ways to indicate specific attacks and just moved out of the way when needed. I don't think I got hit more than twice my second time.

Tron's world from KH2 was awesome, and not just because it's friggin' Tron. I enjoyed the design of that stage a lot. Other than that most KH level designs have run the gamut from decent (Port Royale, Monstro, Wonderland) to lame (Pride Lands, Agrabah, Beast's Castle) to pure torment (KH1 Atlantica, Deep Jungle, KH2's Underworld).
Monstro is decent? Monstro is not decent. Monstro is an abomination of a level, filled with an ugly design, a confusing layout, and annoying enemies like those stupid Hover Ghosts and Barrel Spiders.

Hate Monstro. Haaaaaaaaaaaate.
Geez, no need to blow a gasket! Monstro might have had all the annoying stuff you mentioned, but it was certainly one of the more . . . memorable experiences the game had to offer. Except for the end boss. That thing was just a douche.
As far as FF soundtracks go, IV's is the one I identify most with, since it was such a defining moment of my childhood. Sure there might have been better ones (VI and IX stand out most for me), but IV's will always be the definitive Final Fantasy soundtrack for me. EDIT: Going through the Secret Reports, everyone except Saix and Vexen refer to Xion as female. And even Saix starts referring to Xion as female by day 250+. What this means, though? *shrug*
I wouldn't say *everyone except Saix and Vexen*, since for one IIRC none of the CO team ever mention her in the reports, nor do Xaldin and Demyx. Not to mention not everyone knows it's a puppet in the first place, so, as the guide mentions it, they have no reason not to believe Roxas, even if they've never seen a face. Saix, Xemnas, and Vexen know from the get-go, Xigbar figures it out because he's been snooping around (again, from the guide), as Axel eventually does. Xemnas refers to it as a she because, as Xigbar hints, he's seeing someone specific in her, someone Xigbar knows and who would matter to Xemnas (which is why I mentioned Aqua, since Final Mix+ shows Xemnas knew her and Xigbar has seen him visiting the room with the armor).
Saix does come around, but only once Shion disobeys and he's forced to consider her as something else than a mere puppet. Until then he can't associate a personality to it and so it's a puppet to him.
Also, Xion was not *created* from Sora's memories, it's been created as an empty vessel, and then progressively filled with Sora's memories, just like one of the others has been filled with Riku's. It does mean its inital appearance must have been generic, and then we're back at the philosophical debate: did it actually physically alter with the memories or is Roxas just interpreting it based on his connection with Xion? Both the Ultimania guide and Xemnas simply say it's a puppet and different people see it differently, so I'll stick to that. There's never any indication that Roxas is "right" in seeing her the way he sees her, that his perception is the unclouded one and all the others are wrong. Instead they make a point of showing everybody sees Xion their own way.
As for the strong impression on Xigbar, in the report for day 117 he mentions there's a Ven-related thing in his past he cannot escape, says it's "impossible" for Ven to be in front of him and pulls his guns out, and can't stand his glare. That, to put it mildly, indicates they were not in good terms and for some reason it haunts Xigbar, and I'd even go as far as to hypothesize Braig had a hand in Ven's demise (along the lines of not-death-because-it's-a-kids-game-so-let-say-he-disappeared) and Xigbar is not comfortable with the fact, even as a soulless empty shell of his former self.
For the puppet body I stand by my earlier point. A female-looking puppet is not the same as an actual female.
I'm thinking I need to replay 9. I got it at release, I played it almost to completion, but I don't remember a damn thing about it. I also keep meaning to finish a replay through 8, but I finish the first disc and then stop for some reason. I've only gotten to Ultimecia's castle once, but I never went inside it. I'm still working on 6 though, which is another FF I started but never finished. I got to...somewhere after regathering most of my party after the world went kaboom, but when I stopped playing for a few weeks and when I went back to it I couldn't remember what I was doing or where to go after I picked it back up. Now that I think about, 4 and 7 are the only FF's I've finished that I've played. I stopped 10 at Sin.
