I'm only unsure about Gerald because he mentions stepping back in his last IC post. I'm not sure if that means against a wall or into the room he was in previously (with Ben and Cas).
My buddy made a dice roller because he was for damn sure that invisiblecastle was against him. I don't think it takes our usual notation, so you need to figure out successes on your own.
Darksun, that's fine for now, but in the future, the move you want to make is probably "back off to short range, then shoot." Things at short range don't get their defense versus firearms.
Mightyspacepope, if I move over next to Robert, will the creature that was previously attacking me be at short range?
The default on hits (h#) is to do one extra roll if the die is maximum. So d10h8 will count 8+, rolling a bonus if 10.
You can override the extra by specifying it with e(xtra) such as 4d10e9h8.
If the bonus die can also trigger a bonus die, that would be o(pen) instead of e(xtra), but I think you're doing the one bonus only type of ruleset right?

Is there a way to have it reroll 9's? I'm in a nWoD game and shotguns reroll 9's.
I just want to give you guys a head's up about what's going on.
My mom has been experiencing some memory problems (unable to remember passwords and how to do simple things like fold clothes, not remembering what I do for a living, etc.). Naturally, this has us worried. I took her to the doc today, and she's getting some tests done tomorrow.
Until I have some idea of what's going on with her, I need to put the game on hiatus. I'm not canceling it, I just have to devote the extra time I had to do this toward caring for her and making sure she's okay.
I'll let you guys know when I'm able to get the game going again.
If you're feeling enterprising, here's how the rest of the encounter would go.
You'll probably end up killing the creatures, maybe taking some scratches and bites here or there but coming out mostly in one piece.
By the time you deal with them, the woman will be gone. If you guys want to continue on your own and play that out, by all means, go to town.

I just wanted to give everyone a head's up. I took my mom to the hospital last week because she was having memory problems and her MRI showed something to be concerned about. For a few days, the neurologists seemed to be leaning toward brain tumors, but thankfully it now seems as if it's a variant of MS. This is still a big deal, but nowhere as bad as we were first suspecting. I've spent nearly 14 hours a day at the hospital for the past week and a half, which is why I haven't been able to post. As long as my mom continues to respond well to the steroid treatments she's getting, she should be able to come home at some point later this week.
As soon as that happens, I'll be able to post again.
My mom is home, which is good. At the same time, she requires a lot more care/supervision than I'd previously thought. I've cut down on my daytime job hours in order to be able to swap shifts of taking care of her with my sister during the day. Consequentially, I've had to pick up more hours at what was once my occasional night job.
This means that I have to shelve the game for now, since I'm not going to have the time or energy to be able to run a game. For that, I apologize. If I'm able to run a WoD game on the boards in the future, I'll get in contact with you fine people.
Also, judging by our track record, any game that has both Jacques and me in it is doomed from the start.
