If I'm not mistaken, you can tell if a combo can be teched depending on the color of the numbers shown for the combo. I believe red is valid and blue is invalid.
I'm also considering pushing Rachel to a 3rd spot and making hazama my second.
His movement and moves remind me of johnny which is sweet cus he was my second for guilty gear!
Carl is a poor replacement for bridget though.D:

hazama is my new secondary, ragna just can't compete
Right now, it seems like Hazama's whip is extremely safe. I haven't watched all the videos yet, but it seems that it's pretty unpunishable for the most part.
Also, if anyone chooses to play as him in any color other than Smooth White, they are foolish.

what happens when both hazamas choose smooth white
WHAT THEN
The changes seem good, but they have sapped my urge to play the current game knowing a better version is out soon.
Meh. With the new changes, everyone is probably going to suck first two weeks anyway.
That's the best time to grab new people though. Game has less and less people online, hell even the threads are slowing down. If they can fix the problems, go with a full blown release (lets have good bonus stuff not that sad extra DVD), and make sure there is nothing to drive people from it, we can get more players.

Having people start over will be nice anyways.
Ugh. Anybody remember the Christmas Live Meltdown?
Sat down and got a bunch of achievements I hadn't gotten before today. Nu's 60 hit combo achievement looked really, really, daunting, but youtube showed it to be super simple. Now I just gotta play more player matches and maybe use a counter assault every now and then instead of forgetting it exists!
Come play with me sometime man, your Nu was pretty good. :^:
Also, new loke test again this weekend. I think that it's 3 days this time.

Man I went online after not playing for a long time, seems like there is some new Tager Spam strat going around. Locking people down with long blockstun moves till you figure out the holes.
Also, I find it odd I almost ALWAYS lose to Tager with Nu, yet I can usually beat anyone else no problem. Doesn't make sense to me.
I at least made sure I could beat the Tager with Ragna first, I wasnt using Nu just to whore. If anything, it was a challenge, cause the Ragna match was a sweep, the nu match went down to the wire.
Yeah, no offense to anyone, but alot of Nus online really don't know how to play against tager. And I say this as a pretty average tager/nu.
Just know to stay out of sled range. If they sled, wait till they finish and it's a free combo. If they jump, 6D/2D seeing which applies. Hell, sled B (which is what they'll use most) is so slow you can anticipate it with 6C/2C for CH wallbounce combos. It's also not hard to melee tager, though it's alot more risky though much more fun. He's like a giant punching bag.
Not that tager doesn't have a chance, but if you know how to play you should be able to make it really hard for them to get in. Gravity wells are your friends too.
Blockstun magnetism strings/traps are awesome. At least we (as tagers) have something nice. :P

I know how to punish Tager and wait for sled, but this guy didnt sled. He really wasnt bad, the ones before were bad.
The problem is I tend to make a few mistakes per round no matter who I am playing. Vs tager with nu, one mistake is almost the game. Especially when I started eating this really long combo from Tager I never saw before that ENDS in the whole air grab move forward 6C D thing that alone did like 30-40%, now with a ton of extra shit in the beginning it was doing nearly 70%.
I also kind of forgot how to melee with Nu as I havent played in about a month.

More like Ryuzaki from KoF.
SHAAAA!
EDIT.
I mean Yamazaki, not Ryuzaki.
Also: A bunch of other videos have been tossed up on Dustloop, so I'm going to link some more.
Tsubaki vs Taokaka
Hazama vs Noel
Jin vs Hakumen
Noel vs Litchi
Litchi vs Jin
Rachel vs Jin
Rachel vs Hakumen
Of note, the last one has Hakumen's new "barrier" move in action.
*Drool*
Goddamn that is sexy.

also: ada has a penis, you heard it here first
... Because he's a little boy?
You sick, sick man.
Hazama's mobility with swinging around and shit looks kinda bridget like actually. Though it's more like a more mobile Whip.
Edit: I've gotta say, is it just me or did they add more frames to the animation? Because it looks so smooth even with mobile quality footage.
Also, if anyone chooses to play as him in any color other than Smooth White, they are foolish.
WHAT THEN
a lot of balance changes
new moves on every character
possibly more than two new characters? they hinted at it anyway
Though if by small changes here and there you mean nearly revamping the whole system.
It won't be released for awhile though. Not on consoles anyway.
edit: hi5 BRT.
They are actually do a substantial re-balancing along with overhauling some of the core mechanics of the game.
Edit: C-c-c-c-combo.
THEN IT'S A FIGHT TO THE DEATH.
Not that it wasn't already.
BUT NOW THERE ARE SWEET THREADS ON THE LINE.
Nerfed!
Smooth white is the best color next to hot pink.
so at the beginning of the match he flicks it into a jukebox and shit gets real
They could make it like bang install.
Only this is MJ install.
Astral Heat will be him transforming into a giant robot.
I know!
Plus he has a huge barrier thing now that bounces off projectiles.
And 6B overhead.
And some weird thrusting air sword move thing.
Hazama seems pretty good... I hope Hakumen's buff help a lot. He was my third and I had to drop him.

I play Blazblue, Soul Calibur 4, Street Fighter 4 and soon Tekken 6... yeah... so add me if you want to play any of those.
