I'm looking for some help in determining if my GPU driver is "current".
Right now I have a GeForce Go 7950 GTX running the 8.6.1.4 driver dated 8/7/2006 (came installed on a Sager 5760 recently purchased).
So far, I can't seem to find the correct driver on Nvidia's driver update page.
I can find drivers for the 7900 GTX, and the 7950 GX2, but not for my 7950 GTX.
Does Nvidia not directly support my graphics card?
Perhaps my only recource is a driver from the Sager webpage?
Obviously, i'd prefer to get my drivers directly from Nvidia.
AFAIK, you just download the "GeForce Go 7" driver for whatever operating system you are using; nVidia hardly differentiates between different GPUs in the same product line.

When I go to the GeForce Go 7 page:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_mobile_84.63.html
it doesn't actually list my chipset (7950 GTX) as supported.
It's also weird that the NVidia current driver (8463 July 5) is lower/older than my current (8614 August 7) driver version.
I'm also still unable to find a 7950 GTX supported driver anywhere else on NVidia's archive page.
Confusing!
Maybe they're getting slow in their old age?
