Whatever happened to the FFIX LP that was going on? Did it get deleted?
Technically. Not by choice, though. MinionOfCthulhu lost his save file, which sort of sapped his energy from continuing. Then the site he had hosted the images on sort of crapped out as well. That's the biggest hurdle for screenshot LPs in my opinion. Finding a site that doesn't totally suck at hosting 2000 images.

Okay so I've amended links, updated LP status' and added to the list.
Because of the forum character-max-per-post thing I've cut out the thread statistics thing (it was self-indulgent anyway). The recent updates list is cut back to just the most recent updates instead of the most recent two. I moved the non-PA forumer LP list down into the same post as the Making a Let's Play thing for now. In the future, the plan is for the main post to be the actual PA forumer list, the second post in the thread will be the non-PA forumer LP list, and the third post will be the Making a Let's Play section.
Although I haven't started it yet, there's going to be a list of people volunteering for co-commentary in the Making section. To sign up for this, you must PM me your willingness to be listed as well as whatever info you're comfortable having listed to note your availability - brief as possible, please. I'm doing this to try and promote co-commentary and make it easier to achieve. If at any time you're not available anymore (this doesn't include "Oh I'm going on vacation for two weeks" - I don't have the time / will to handle that sort of schedule change), as in you go from working days to nights or get a promotion or graduate from school or whatever, PM me again to be removed.

Okay, I've been lurking/posting around here for a little bit and have finally decided to try a LP...of Demon's Souls. I have some ideas for the LP that I think would be fun to try out, and I know the game enough to make the LP informative if not entertaining in other ways. Before I dive in, however, I need some input.
I have already recorded my first set (which includes the intro, tutorial and completing the first level), but because I was stupid enough to forget to make a 30 second test video, I fucked over my sound. I had my recording device set to Stereo Mix (i.e. both computer and microphone sound) and had my mic way too low and my game sound way too high.
So I need some advice. My main concern here is whether or not I should just do post commentary over the entire first set due to sound issues or just keep it as is for now. I have a video from the set linked below. Note that at the time of this posting the video is still processing; when it's finished it will have the option of 720p HD.
When I see this video I see a million things wrong with it that I could try improving, but I'd rather hear some input from other people first before I start changing anything.
As awesome as Demon's Souls is, unless you are realllly good, those sets could take hours. :P
The test video looks good, though the voice over's a bit low.
Heh, completing the tutorial, Boletarian Palace 1-1, and killing Executioner Miralda is about 1 1/2 hours. I think you are right on both counts. Sets are going to be a bit longer just because Demon's Souls is a rather large game (but short enough to merit a video LP in my mind). The voice over is really damn low thanks to a mishap when recording. Due to a screw up I can't adjust the live voice overs' volumes, but I can adjust the post commentary at least.

I agree with this. I'm cringing at some of my commentary I made while playing (stutter much?), and I will do my best to be more...energetic at least during the rest of the play (while trying to avoid OMG ANGER AT GAME).
Well, it seems like I should go and make a thread....
I haven't watched the video, but if it's going to be super long like that I'd suggest doing a good bit of editing on parts that wouldn't be very much fun to watch, or repetitive, and so forth.

Yep, I have already taken this into account and edited as much repetitive/boring footage as I could. If I die, for example, I'm just going to cut out the running back and just go to where I was previously. Other times I just fast forward. Still, this LP will be long just because Demon's Souls is a fairly large game.

Okay, I made my thread for the Let's Play of Demon's Souls yesterday, but I didn't want to mention it here until I uploaded the first set of videos. I finally did that (it literally took three days to get all the videos onto YouTube thanks to how long it takes for me to convert in render files on my computer).
EDIT: And I suck at reading rules. Henroid, here's a request to put my LP on the list with all the information you request in the OP.
I hope I've been around long enough (i.e. lurking around for 2 years making posts in G&T) to count as a member of the community, but if not, I guess I'll post more or something.

As for you, Mr. joshofalltrades being the guy, if you hadn't done IWBTG, whoever else would've done it first on this forum I would've had in your place on the list, and same thing goes - in terms of IWBTG, one LP is enough. :P
I don't think there's any other games I give a shit about in regard to multiple LPs by different people.

VVVVVV or however many V's are in the title is an indie game. I don't think anyone has done it. I think Rent has gone coo-coo about the game from time to time.
I'm free this weekend so it may be a good time to start an LP. I'm still getting sound issues (like, 1 second or more of lag with my headset when "Listen to this device" is checked) but if you guys can lend a hand I can maybe get started.

They are the pinnacle of the genre, and maybe the entire internet. Especially from about the midway point of five and certainly by the time you hit six, where Steve becomes a complete sociopath.
