The incredibly fast sections played during the end boss (which struck me as a bit of a cop-out). I hate hate hate it when an end boss doesn't have unique music.

My favorite musical instrument is the air-raid siren.

Eh? The end boss of this game does have unique music:
i usually hate when people say that ps3/360 games look like ps1 games, because its usually extreme hyperbole... but i mean this shit really does look like a ps1 or saturn game here. pretty fuckin rough, definitely killing some buzz personally.
I wouldn't expect a downloadable arcade-style title to look like a big-budget game. Personally I don't mind the visuals; as long as it's a fun game, I can deal with that.
it looks noticeably worse full size. also im not asking for uncharted 2 or anything, but i dont think its too much to ask that a game not look like a port of an unfinished sega saturn game.
True, the new character models are kinda iffy, but to be honest, they really do seem reminiscent of the original Rocket Knight Adventures, which is what Climax seems to be going for. Again, gameplay should be more important than graphics, after all.
Actually, I don't think it looks like the original model at all. He looks like a bored mouse, now. A bit more work on the face itself would probably work wonders. I'd love it if they brought back the humorous facial expressions.

Man, I hope they make this nice looking but I if it looks like crap and still plays like RKA or Sparkster I will be happy.
Anyone remember the second to last level where you start out flying and it is a top-down shooter, and at the end of the level you get into a giantic robot suit to fight the boss?
Awesome. But I never could beat the level right after that.

Yeah, the SNES version of Sparkster. The fight with Axel was a pain, plain and simple. I always wound up getting one of my arms blown off, and defeat came swiftly thereafter. The final stage wasn't that bad, but the last boss - hoo boy, the last boss gave me headaches, especially on the higher difficulty levels.
I have to give credit to the last boss from the Genesis version of Sparkster, if you get all the keys and go "Super Sparkster" - that was pretty cool. They were a real pain to hunt down, though.
While the graphics aren't the greatest thing ever, I think they look pretty good, and I would absolutely love to see the PS1 or Saturn game that looked this good.
I have a feeling most of the people talking about how this looks like a Saturn or PSX game haven't actually looked at a Saturn or PSX game within the past year or so.
All of y'all must be retarded or something because those screenshots look good and the video is just as good. And the gameplay itself does look radically different from the version of the game I played (SNES) but like TSR said, as long as it's fun it doesn't matter.
That trailer was a lot better than the first one they released. I still think it looks visually weird/awkward, but it looks like a lot of fun nonetheless.

I’ll tell you what happens in Demon’s Souls when you die. You come back as a ghost with your health capped at half. And when you keep on dying, the alignment of the world turns black and the enemies get harder. That’s right, when you fail in this game, it gets harder. Why? Because fuck you is why.
Those new screens look much better than the ones in the OP. I never played the originals, but I remember the series. I'll at the very least give the XBLA version's demo a try. 1200 points seems like a bit too much for this, though.

I really miss when XBLA's standard price points were 400 and 800 points. It's a stupid mental barrier, but for $15 an XBLA game has to really wow me with the demo to buy it. At 800 I often bought without even playing the demo.

Which is nifty, but is a major shift after the grim techno of the stage preceding him:

I've always wanted this series to be revived but I am a little concerned about it's graphics. Hopefully, the same great gameplay will be there.

Link!
I loved RKA, hopefully this one is a lot of fun. I love the line at the end:
"Sparkster never died!
He was just playing possum!"
also
"BLAST POSSUMING!"
lol
Kinda forgot this existed
Now I haven't played RKA since like...1995 or so
But none of that looked familiar at all, gameplay-wise
It's radically different
BUT so long as it's fun, I don't care.
And Sparkster is a great character with some cool moves.
Also, Steam, so that means we get a PC version too
Let me tell you about Demon's Souls....

Ugh. So much of the charming appeal has just been drained away. Those wolves look like they were designed by furries.

umm what does that even mean?
It's still giving me the prompt to pre-order on Steam, and my pre-order says not yet released.
Yet it's release date was yesterday...
Something something Valve time.
