Nuh uh! It was funny, and that's good enough.

We also got to see that Jack isn't all bad, and seems to be pretty cool when he's not obsessing over bad things. Also, that whatever's wrong with him is more than just psychological, and something supernatural (possibly some sort of hitchiker from Zimmyland) could be the cause of his problems.

    well yeah there was that

but it's starting to get the problem charles christopher has

where there's like a dozen unresolved plot threads that keep getting pushed further back by humorous asides

remember when the townsen is DEEEEAAAAAD resolution kept getting stalled by episodes of wacky animal theatre

Well, Charles Christopher is a small comic, and it only updates once a week. If you've ever read the whole archive at once, the pacing is really good. It would probably work much better as a book than a webcomic, but whatever.

Meanwhile, Gunnerkrigg Court has always been rather cryptic and rarely ever gives much the readers much resolution in regards to what the Hell is going on. Tom is basically Coyote, laughing at how confused everyone is over what's going on.

I admit, even I was annoyed in retrospect, when it looked like we were about to be given some awesome backstory regarding how the Court actually formed, only for the comic to turn into a sex joke on Parley's behalf (albeit a really funny one).

goatmon you realize you're smack dab in the middle of that whole genre of poster right

    we have poster genres?

old timer, fresh meat, artist, hipster, girl, blue collar poster, schadenfreude material, actually funny people (probably not enough of these to fill a whole genre)
Dear Mr. Vernon: We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. But, we think you're crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us: in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But, what we found out is that each one of us is: a brain . . .
    And an athlete . . .
    And a basket case . . .
    A princess . . .
    And a criminal.
Does that answer your question? Sincerely yours, The Breakfast Club.
