At some point this year, I'm going to go to a psrink and probably get some medication to help with that, because it is fucking up my life.

edit:the word you are looking for is "content." The one you used kinda means just about the exact oposite.

No... you see, it was ...

For me, quitting WoW automatically brought these. Well, except the last one. I still kill them.

Quitting WoW should be everyone's resolution if they have not already done so. Bonus if you've never played it :^:

Bite my ass! That was my husbands and my gift to each other, He got to buy a new Core 2 duo if I got another WoW account to move my main to so we don't have to share. Besides I play with one of my boss's, its keeping me connected to friends. How am I ever going to get Katheryn trained into a gamer if she can't do jumping/spotting duty anymore? WoW in small doses is no worse than alcohol, its just some big retards that give us all a bad name.

Besides Brian needs to have some way to brag about me. Whenever guys in his guild get to talking about their girly girl wifes or girlfriends or that they have to go cause the woman is bitch he gets to tell them "well mine is playing right now!" He likes the compliments he gets for that.

    (not really a rant)

"Balance gaming healthily and productive pursuits" might be a good resolution for everyone. "Quit WoW," not so much--it's just a game like any other. I can assure you that my productivity has not increased since I stopped playing WoW a year ago. It did increase several years ago, when I stopped playing online games obsessively, though, so.

    - I will find a job that is not being a waitress by February

    - I will move out of my parents' house as soon as possible after I find that job

    - After I move out, mac & cheese and ramen will NOT be my staple foods

    - I will get my grade 10 RCM flute practical done and at least 2 theory/music history exams done

    - I will start college again and this time I will actually do homework and show up to class

    - I will bike everywhere once the snow melts

    - I will try to join at least one more theatre production

    - I will learn to cook enough meals that I won't get bored of everything I know how to make within a month

    - I will stop typing long responses in forums, rewriting them several times, and then deciding not to respond anyway

    - I will drive up to Hyder on my 21st birthday and get Hyderized

    Pay off my credit-card debt.
Pay off a substantial amount of my student loan debt.
The infamous, obvious, goal of losing weight/toning up/getting fit.

Own all three newer consoles (Wii, 360, PS3).
    Upgrade my computer.
    Finally get myself an HDTV.

That about does it for me.

I don't usually participate in new year resolutions and partying but since I'm starting a new job on 2 Jan 07 that will hopefully help me turn my life around. I'll be getting more hours thus earning more money and allowing me to accomplish all but one of the above goals.

    1. Find more time for exercise.
    2. Stop letting random girls give me head.
    3. Stop at stop signs so the cops don't pull me over while I'm getting random head.
    4. Eat more fibre.
    5. Quit smoking.
    6. Drink more ovaltine. (I love that movie.)
    7. Learn to fly.
    8. Build a time machine.
    9. Invent a flying car.
    10. Something else equally improbable.

I finished writing mine this afternoon. The full text is several pages long, with corollary actions and some thoughts on each of them, but I won't bore you all with that stuff.

    - Bring my weight to 200 pounds or less by the end of the year.
    - Limit recreational spending.
    - Write at least 1000 words per day (not counting things like journal entries and forum posts).
    - Attempt to cobble together some sort of social life.
    - Keep better informed on current events.
    - Increase my vocabulary.
    - Read at least 100 pages per day (or an average of 100 per day over a period of a week).

It's rather difficult when emotion's involved as it completely overrides any sense of logic and discipline one has.

The one thing I've found that works best is to break any and all contact.
