Dude shits realness. Suffice to say, I watched Gran Torino today and was floored by Eastwood's ability to still instil a sense of fear in people 50+ years his junior.

Any time an angry white guy raises a weapon in grim violence against another, one cannot help but immediately think of The Man With No Name or Dirty Harry.

A pop culture icon, and practically an archetype unto himself, Clint Eastwood is a small sliver of the past, a reminder of when cats made flicks you didn't have to quantify with a bunch of bullshit descriptors. You were watching a movie with Clint Eastwood in it, and that was simply enough.

    my roommate and I just watched dirty harry

    the best scene is when he is getting the guy down from the roof who is planning on jumping

    he gets him to safety, and then straight up punches that mother fuck in the face
