So I picked this up for 360 today. I'm not sold on the actual game yet, however I'm well on the way to porting the Joshi Miracle Violence Connection over from fire pro and seeing them look so awesome is more than making up for my misgivings about the gameplay.
If anybody wants to play at anypoint then just give me a holler, gamertag is Wraith134.

If anyone has the 360 version and Live, I wouldn't mind some thoughts on the El Generico CAW I just posted. It's unfinished, I still need to to the moves/entrance, the "Ole!" design on the back of his tights, and add a little smoothing out the lines on his mask design, but overall so far I'm pretty proud of it.

Unfortunatey, I can't seem to find my webcam to snap a pic. Here's what he looks like in real life:

    <snip>

I've uploaded what I have so far. My Live tag is LockedOnTarget, and I put search tags of "Generico," "Ring of Honor," and "ROH" on it.

It looks great. After you smooth the lines on the mask a bit and add the ¡Ole! it'll be perfect.

Now we just need the Brainbustaaaaahhhhh!!!!!

Thanks. I'm not sure if I'll be able to do the Ole symbol though, as past games have not allowed you to place things on the ass/crotch. I know crotch blur is there this year still, so ass blur probably is too.

So I'll add his kneepads and try to make the mask design smoother, then work on a moveset/entrance.

The Create-A-Story mode has so much potential it's ridiculous. These are in no way dealbreakers or anything that can't be overlooked, but I have a few gripes. There are a great number of situations that should be included when creating 'scenes' but aren't for some reason. For instance, you would think a video of wrestler A performing their finisher on wrestler B in the middle of the ring wouldn't be too hard to fit on the disc... I mean, each move has those green and red dummies to display them in Create-A-Moveset, all they have to do is skin those and put a crowd behind them, but for some reason that was too difficult.

I refuse to believe they opted against this or just plain forgot, because if I were designing a story-creation tool with this much potential, the first thing I would do is draw up a list of things that seem crucial to a story mode, and customizable attacks would be very close to the first thing on that list. People get attacked with finishers during interviews and backstage nonsense ALL THE TIME. Maybe next year.

Bitching aside, they do a lot of stuff right and with user-created dialog it really allows for a lot of creativity. I can't wait to see what the community comes up with.

If anyone wants to test what I have of a story so far and give me feedback, let me know. I'm going to be playing for a few hours if anyone wants to get a game or two in.

Yeah, that's the kind of situation where I could see him bringing it back.

I hope he'd give it some sort of name that ties into Pepsi without being as blatant as "Pepsi Plunge," sort of like his "choice of a new generation" line.

Christian's TNA debut almost brought a tear to my eye with its brutal honesty.

"The national wrestling scene eight years ago, there was two companies.
One was old, stale, and lacking direction. The other one I was a part of.
It was young, hungry, and cutting edge. Fast forward eight years to this very moment and there's
still two companies. One is old, boring, and lacking direction, and the other one is TNA."

Without the competition from WCW, WWE has become WCW, but somehow worse. Apparently TNA is spiraling out of control too but why the hell do they play matches "from the vault" during new episodes of Smackdown? We have the internet, post up matches online with ad support and let me watch them by choice. Oh, wrestling. I don't know if I could increase profits but I would totally put the integrity back into wrestling if they made me their booker. On a side note, Christian being back in WWE does something terrible to that great quote. :(

I fucking love Christian, but I was a smark, so that's sort of obvious.

edit: Yeah, I turned on WWE recently and saw Christian and got confused, because I recall his defection to be a pretty big story. He was super over and wasn't getting the push he deserved, so he didn't renew his contract and went to TNA. Now TNA has all the dregs of WCW and WWE and an even worse drug policy.

double edit: They also changed his music from the Waterproof Blonde version of Just Close Your Eyes to some cockrock version, probably done by a Papa Roach wannabe. I miss the operatic music with the french masks and the raining sparks.

I think so, because it generally means you like a wrestler for his skill or charisma, instead of liking what the WWE tells you to like. See: Cena, Orton

You can't equate a smart shopper to a smart fan, because with a shopper you can compare actual fats (price, reliability, etc) whiles with fans it just comes down to opinions. You're basically saying your opinion is better than others.

I would very much like to organize one. Might as well discuss some things before we get to them, just in case. Should we set a cap for the superstars? I think my guy is at 92 currently, if anyone's past 95 already we can make exceptions but I think 95 should be the level cap.

And the trick never really changes. It's a matter of opinion and we obviously disagree, there's not much reason for an argument but I'm willing to indulge.

So I'm playing through RtWM with my CAS and Vince wants you to make a new finisher. I go in and realize that if you put a guy in the samoan drop position on your shoulders, there is a move that drops him to a gutbuster and then puts him back in the samoan drop position, and that you can repeat this move over and over again. So I now have a finisher where you do a gutbuster from the samoan drop clutch 7 times in a row. It amuses me terribly every time I do it.

I know I'm not the only one who created a finisher of repeated kicks to the groin.

I named it "The Destroyer", and it was Groin Kick 01 or whatever repeated 8 times, then the Back Groin Kick, finished with the Buzzsaw Kick. My roommate said his leg would be tired, so I went back and alternated which leg was doing the kicking each time.

t Redfield: Too bad you can't create titles anymore. You could make one called "The Watch", and have Gabe and Tycho feud over it. Or just change their attire every so often, so each one wears it for a time.
