    DA is fine, it holds a wide gamut of artists from the rookie artist to the pro. Don't diss on the rookies, we all started at the same crappy level. Those kids don't deserve our hate, but rather our encouragement.

    and some of the rookies on there have incredible contacts
    one of the girls i encountered was an mlp fanartist whose boyfriend works as a programmer for bethesda.

    I stopped updating my deviantart account after I realized I would get like 10 hits on a new piece of work before it fell off the front page and my profile sank back into obscurity.

    Some of the work on there is almost 3 years old and my page has 5500 visits.

    Yes, but that's a lot different.

    Actually, A Silver Mt. Zion doesn't really impress me as much as Godspeed!, but I haven't heard either of them in quite awhile, so maybe my opinion's changed my now.

    A Silver Mt. Zion's gotten really good in the last few years. They're much more cohesive with that they're doing- much less ambient sounds and more well written music.     to get hits on DA takes some time at first, you have to add people to your friends list and talk to folks and stuff

    Silver Mt. Zion is alright. Very very melodramatic, but it's good depressing music. Lighting Paw is the best album and has the eeriest tunes, especially the last track. One of only two songs that ever made me wonder about drugs. The other being Velvet Underground's "Heroin".

    The next PA Activity thread should just be "Make Fan art that would be popular on DA" then we make a collective profile to post all the work. Then when its getting super popular, Get all our profiles linked on the page for traffic. It'd be a whoring extravaganza.
