Yes, there is a PA guild and it has been going for 5 full months without wasting away to nothing. I think that may be a new record for MMO games that aren't spelled "WoW". We currently have 70 slots filled out of the maximum of 90. We try to discourage people from guilding every alt they make simply because there is a limit on the number of CHARACTERS that the legion (guild) will hold.
We have seen some attrition over time as people have lost interest in Aion. This was expected with a shiney new title. We also took a pretty significant hit about two months ago when most of the "hardcore" people all left en masse[\i] for the Nexus legion. We've been doing some recruiting and have managed to pick up a few more active people. We're still sitting in the top-20 ranked legions on the server (currently at #17) and are doing a decent job at playing mid-level (30-40) content. We usually have a handfull of people online at primetime.
Currently, Xzanth is our Brigadier General. He is on almost 24-hours a day for 4 days and then off completely for 4 days on a rotating work schedule. He plays several alts and the search widget in the game is absolutely HORRIBLE at finding a specific guild. The best chance you have is to look at the list of players on the official aion website HERE and try to catch anyone that has the tag Centurion next to their name. All Centurions have invite privileges.
Hey thanks for the info! I'll look you guys up tonight once I log on after practice. My priest is level 7. So far I'm having a ball, I like the cut scenes and story quests. Also, got my first chain skill, woot.
I've tried catching Xzanth and uh...I saw a Dresden in game earlier, sent them tells, but wasn't able to get a response. I figure it just gets lost a lot of times, so I'll try again later!

Apparently both the 1.9 version and the 2.0 versions are due to be released and localized for NA/EU in 2010.

This meeting was held in parallel with a press conference with over 60 invited journalists that took place at the same time in NCsoft’s Korean headquarters.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a transcript of the meeting to share. Security precautions for the meeting were aggressive—including the use of lava pits and muscular bulls—which made leaking the information during the meeting an uninviting option. The objective of the meeting was to nail down the patch notes of the upcoming version 1.9 patch for Aion.
We don’t know whether it was because of our tactful dialogue with the parties involved, our supreme abilities of persuasion, or perhaps Kinslon’s affinity for chocolate, but we were able to procure permission to publish some highlights about what was discussed in spite of the meeting’s confidential nature.
• New skills for every class (including new skills specifically for countering stun attacks)
• Dozens of daily quests with different objectives and rewards
• New quests, increased quest rewards, and increased instance drop rates
• Dredgion enhancements
• Max item enchantment increased to +15
• An increase in experience gain (including a new experience bonus system: Energy of Salvation)
• Soul Healing, Soul Binding, and Flight Transportation cost decreases
• A mechanic that allows two two-handed weapons to be combined to create one more powerful two-handed weapon
• Looking for group (LFG) functionality improvements
• Numerous user interface improvements
Stay tuned, and make sure to grab the tentative patch notes (far exceeding 20 pages in length) when they’re published later this week.
I noticed that the giant "siege" summons are included in the concept are for 2.0 so (hopefully) we will be seeing an expanded version of the current PvP system as well!!
I really want to go back to this game after reading about the upcomming updates. It's like my dream patch for this game. I really enjoyed it but the quests were lacking in rewards big time, and i like questing a lot more than grinding. Even if the quest asks me to grind, at least i have a direction and purpose which i like.
PRetty excited, i will probably sub for like 3-4 months straight this time. Give it a real go.
Official patch notes for the 1.9 update are posted and they are HUGE!!! Expect to spend 10-30 minutes reading them depending on your level of interest in game design and Aion minutia.
And I hope they didn't fuck it up for sins too much. Right now it's not sounding great... crit resist, stun resist, no more Hide II in Dredgion ahhhhhhhh ):
So yeah, I decided to re-sub to Aion, since it seems that the game is still pretty actively played globally, and one of my friend reached the level of my main character. I wanted to see the patches, the changes, if it's any better now.
So I log in... and my character is naked. All my kinah, all my items and armors and weapons are gone. Someone apparently raided my account and sold all my shit.
Of course I changed my account password and e-mailed NCsoft for help, but in the meantime I'm pretty angry.
