Sounds like the male damage sounds were, for the most part, them puking violently. The females... am I a pervert for thinking what I'm thinking?:winky:
Also, if the leveling curve gets easier (maybe not WoW easy) I may just have to pick this up again. How're spirit masters lately?
I've often wondered exactly what the characters are saying when they cast spells/do actions. I know many of the phrases by rote by now but have no idea what they mean. (Kajebin pek! Ninjon hieron! Wakanamdeeshee. )
It's actually kind of funny when someone says something in real life that slightly resembles one of the Aion soundclip phrases and my mind automatically jumps to the soundclip.

Kaheergav! Agrero! Impahvis!
...after going back and forth so long, I don't know which one of those are Elyos and which are Asmodian. Same with gatherables Caprauna? Or was it Ringa? Lumesia or Theonia? AHHHHHHHHHHH
Xzanth 43 cleric, due to lack of anyone in the legion of being anywhere near the same Level range, transfered leadering to Maleki 30th chanter (xzanths 2nd char). This will allow me to be less Overlording the Other members in the Legion and more of the same and Group capable level. (xzanth has Joined Soccoro and Shanghi, and a few others in The Void.)
Unfortunatley, serveral members of the legion didnt see my Notice and when they logged in and and saw me gone. jumped to parts Unknown.
And, several More Legion members have gone without word or reason silent. So at the 1 Month no login. were removed from the roster.
Also, I have Removed all my Lesser level alts from the Legion, and several Others Alts from the legion, the Number current is more honest then its been(12 semi-active people).
At this point, the Legion ceases to function other then as a club house. I will continue to Try to recruit new people to the legion. and attempt to find quality players and not just scrub grass. Im looking forward to many of you resubbing to aion.
Moving on. to other news. daylight savings time this weekend the servers came down at 330 am for a little server maintence. allowing me time to post to this august forums.
I have 8 Chars...43, 30, 26, 26, 24, 23, 11, 11,(working on a full set of deava gear) allowing me to Post 64 Items to the brokers at one time. also allowing me to make differnt listings for the same items on differnt chars, allowing me to in effect control the market for certain items. Needless to say, everything sells.
Crafting is still rewarding an experiance, and enjoyable, so if you like crafting and as the patch says , evem more crafting is going to be comeing to be avaiable.
Gathering is still in even with the patch some items will be cheeper to gather and sell then to buy from the vendors.
Soon as one of you logs in for more then 1day a week, ill pass leadership to you, if you have ideas and want to experiance the headackes...er rewards of being the head guy, log in and take this cup of posin.
Fyi, Most of the people that left Joined me in The Void. And with Voids Vent. no typeing. and just about at any time they have 20plus online.
1. Sorcelators is dead. Most (if not all) of the active players have migrated to "The Void" legion. Socorro is the Brigadier General and seems to online pretty much all the time. The Void has a ton of activity (probably a dozen people online at any given time) and are running PvE and Abyss raids at all hours. They seem to be a friendly bunch. The only downside is that it is a fairly high-level legion; at 33, we are some of the lowest leveled toons in the legion. New players or low-level players would not benefit much since there are few people running anything less than level 40 instances.
2. This weekend will be another double XP bonus weekend, from 8PM Friday March 26 until 8AM Monday March 29 (local server time).
Today I was flying in Teminon when I got disconnected. My internet connection was down, but the client was still up, and I was still in flight and could move around just fine. So instead of reconnecting, I left it and just went for a fly around the Abyss with no flight timer.
It was fun - I'll have to disconnect on purpose to do it again. After I got too close to Leibo, the game client finally closed on me.
So I've heard about Aion for a while, but today was the first time I saw any videos of it and godamn it looks gorgeous.
I read something last page about a trial? I know its pretty short but that's all I need to tell if its for me or not. Would anyone mind sending me one?
2. Sorcelators is almost completely dead, despite some of the older players coming back. Most of the higher level players have migrated to "The Void" legion. Sadly, The Void has recently implemented a level limit and are no longer accepting transfers from Sorcelators. There is an alt legion called "Hello Kitty", but you might as well stay in Sorcelators.
1. This weekend will be another Double-XP bonus weekend, from 8PM Friday April 9 until 8AM Monday April 12 (local server time).
Gah, I spent about 40 minutes in the character editor trying to perfect a dark-skinned female scout that fits the tough voice. As I'm typing in the name I run out of trial time. I swear I'm gonna kill someone
I'm gonna try and pick this up soon, it seems pretty good
I resubbed and joined my pals who never left. We all rolled sin's and had a blast in the noob zone. Everything looks like it got a few more coats of polish.

Prolly won't be leaving it this go around.
What is it you noticed that they added? I know theres been a few patches since i played last. A fix for the quest rewards so they give a more useful amount of XP maybe?
What is it you noticed that they added? I know theres been a few patches since i played last. A fix for the quest rewards so they give a more useful amount of XP maybe?
DISCLAIMER: I actually like Aion as a game and have had a subscription since they released.
The XP awards from quests was adjusted ever-so-slightly, but I certainly wouldn't call it "useful". Generally, an average quest will give you 3-4 kills worth of XP. If you are looking at pure XP/time, the vast majority of quests are not worthwhile. You would gain more XP just sitting in one spot and mindlessly grinding on MOBs. The equipment rewards are even more useless. If you have access to a crafter (or take up crafting yourself) or simply save your kinah, the stuff that you can make (or buy from the Trade Broker) will make the quest rewards look like complete and utter crap. I think I've only actually equipped a total of six quest reward items EVER (in seven months of continual playtime across five different characters).
The double XP weekends make leveling a breeze however. The last time we had a 2xXP weekend I started a new toon and took it from brand new to level 19 in about ten hours of play. The following 2xXP weekend, I played about the same amount of time (ten hours over three evenings) and ended up just a hair shy of level 25. I'm told that a hardcore player can go from 1 to 35 in a single 2xXP weekend if they work at it. (The operative word there is "work" and I already have a job!)
Having said that, the game is definitely more polished than it was at release. Part of that is that the playerbase has "settled in". A lot of the initial wave of people were coming from WoW, and expecting the game to play like WoW. After all, Aion looks a lot like WoW, right? So logically it follows that WoW-friendly strategies should work in Aion. But they don't really. Depending on your viewpoint, this is either a good thing or a bad thing. So now that the players have adjusted their playstyles to fit Aion, rather than trying to force Aion into a WoW-shaped mold, the game runs a lot smoother.
Most of the people in the newbie and mid-level areas are working on their fourth or fifth toon and they know where to go and how to get it done. Prices for items on the trade Broker are (mostly) stable and (fairly) reasonable. The Abyss is no longer a ganker's paradise; there are five times more gankers in the mid-level PvE zones than in the Abyss. Goldseller spam is pretty much on par with WoW.
Overall it's still the same game. If you didn't like Aion because it was too grindy... or because there were too many gankers... or because the UI didn't allow LUA mods/plugins... none of that has changed. You probably still wont like Aion. If you have multiple 80s in WoW and are looking for nightly raid groups, Aion isn't the right game for you.
If you were annoyed by goldseller spam... or by the PUGs that had a 2H Templar, a "tanking" Glad, a pewpewpew Cleric, and a "healing" Chanter... or by Spiritmaster pets that died every time you jumped off a ledge... it might be worth giving Aion a second look. Aion really shines for the "casual" player who only logs in for a dozen or so hours a week.
I've noticed mobs in the starting area have more "polish" like extra details model wise for example.
So Aion has become more casual friendly? I actually really enjoyed Aion when i played it, and i thought the community was really nice. Penric you actually made me a bunch of items when i played on my Gladiator.
The only thing i am worried about is that i enjoy the social parts of MMO's a lot more than any other part and i hope that i can get back into a new guild thing when i eventually resub. The only reason i didn't renew was the quest reward system was pretty bad and i'd rather quest than grind. I didn't find the grind horrible, but i wanted more quests.
I haven't resubscribed yet but was checking to see how many people were still in here. School's about to wind down (dropped to 1 a semester instead of 2 since launch, full-time work sucked). last I played barely anyone was active. How many of you are still in this? I built a new computer that I really want to put through this now, 8 months later
So i tried to resub today only to find out my password no longer works for my account, and when i go to retrieve it it asks security questions i can't answer, like which college i went to, when i never went to a college.
That same thing happened to me and I had to contact them directly (you can do it via their support site) and you can get them your account info and your game keys and they will give you your account back.
When it happened to me I ended up with half a month of time on my Aion account, a level 38 templar and about 25mil Kinah.
So...considering I wasn't even subscribing at the time that was hard to beat. :P
EDIT: I just checked my account and I still have control of it.
I'm kind of sad about that to be honest
I wanted another high level character and a ton of money!

Where did all of you guys go?
Its now up in the air whether or not we want to continue practically solo, or just un-sub for a while.
Anyway, let us know where you guys ended up!
Thinking of either a spiritmaster or chanter, maybe both, looks pretty fun!

The tower is the core of the planet. When the Cataclysm happened, it was when the Empyrean Lords were at the tower with the Balaur.
Did Atreia always look like this then, or is it hollow? Because how the hell could they have gotten to the tower?
Yeah, I know that. But before the tower broke, was the planet a hollow sphere and they lived inside, or was it always broken like that?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwciMQ3xjbk
at 1:12 you see from the interior where the sphere splits
