ODST: Yeah, I got 5 enemies at the tunnel but was unable to find another place to get the other 5 (highest I've gotten to is 9). I'll look up where to get the extra ammo though.
Castle Crashers: Actually, if you have two controllers you can do this on your own, it's just difficult but your (inactive) teammate can die and you'll get it since you can just revive him.

Some of my current achievement to-dos are bugging me.
Fable 2 - Some of them just don't register right. For instance it didn't register the 25 groin shots. Haven't pulled up the will to play through the game more than once though.
That one worked fine for me. With like 6 playthroughs though, I've never gotten a full-speed attack chain.
Castle Crashers - Fuck getting the 40 ranked matches and 20 ranked all you can quaff...especially the latter of those two. Honestly.
Indeed...my Castle Crashers will forever be missing 4 achievements (actually, if I could get one of my friends to play it again, I could probably get the pacifist one).
Halo ODST - Killing 10 guys with the only two rockets you get in that one level. Damn that achievement to hell.
They have guides that detail exactly how to do this.
I'm willing to help you out with this one. I haven't played Castle Crashers in a couple of months.
I love the achievements with humorous names. Right offhand I can think of 2: Thick as a Baby's Arm (Brutal Legend for completing a quest), and My Cousin is an Italian Plumber (Borderlands for stomping on and killing an enemy).
One of my favorites for the name is in Secret Service, if you shoot the president.
"That's the Exact Opposite of Your Job - 0g"
oh man that cracks me up...
i do me some achievements and while in the past i've borrowed games from people that i knew were an easy 1000 i dont do it anymore...
i did have quite a fun time with king kong and TMNT though so thats cool. my only other 1000 pointer is i think cabelas african safari which i bought with genuine interest in playing (love me some hunting games hah)

Well, I finished Brutal Legend yesterday with 1000/1000.
Pretty fun. I love that some of their achievements really are just for doing stupid awesome looking things.
Example: Coolest thing every - Jump over a Hextadon (which is a giant 6 legged mammoth with tusks about 25 ft in length) in your car.
As in, you have to find a hill that will give you enough air to make it over one of these things. Twas awesome indeed.
Doesn't Brutal Legend require winning a bunch of games? How did you win so many games that quickly?
winning 50 games, and yes, it took some time.
My average game was probably around 8 minutes, if I had to guess. which isn't that bad thinking about it. I've spit out about 50 games of halo in a week, and those last from 8-20 minutes.
Trophies are basically (exactly) like achievements, and I've never mentioned this on the forums, but what the hell - here goes. Platinum'd games:
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Prototype
Bioshock
WET
Prince of Persia
Fallout 3
Mini Ninjas
Dead Space
Resident Evil 5
inFamous
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Thank God Metal Gear Solid IV doesn't have trophies - the Big Boss Emblem would be the death of me. There's one or two games I'm really dissatisfied that I lack the platinum on (Mirror's Edge), but there's a helluva lot more that I don't care to try with (Wanted: Weapons of Fate, Little Big Planet, GTA IV).
For the most part, I'm rather fond of trophy-hunting. It feels like I haven't truly beaten a game to a bloody pulp unless I've gotten the platinum - it gives you more incentive to get your money's worth. Of course, not always (Mini Ninjas.)

Do PS3 games get added totals for trophies with DLC?
As in, if I had 1000/1000 score for Bioshock and then downloaded the free DLC, I would now be at 1000/1250.
Do you guys have that problem? Do you lose your platinum trophy? Or does it just count as independent trophies.
You beat BioShock, get the platinum trophy. Ding, 100% The Platinum counts for the last few percentage points. You can't un-get your platinum.
Then the DLC drops. BioShock is now at 85%, but you still have the platinum trophy. Come to think of it, I still need some of those challenge room trophies...
Edit:
And if you have BioShock AND the DLC, you don't need the DLC trophies to get the platinum. You just need the "base" game trophies to get it.

YES. Finally muscled through Shock & Awe Extreme. Hello first 1000-pointed game ever! Figures it would be Batman.

Thanks to getting the Abbey Road DLC in Beatles: Rock Band, I finally have the Achievement for scoring a million points in a single song. I'm quite happy.
I also got a Rock Band Track Pack (10 bucks!) that should provide some easy achievements.

:?:
Please explain, I need that one.
On a different note - Indie games, in some ways I don't like playing them because they carry no unified Achievment system, leaderboards, or link to your gamertag/card. On the other hand, I'm really glad I'm really glad they carry no unified Achievment system, leaderboards, or link to your gamertag/card.
The "points for cash" whorage would probably be crazy, and it is occasionally nice to play some games without that nagging pang of Achievement-earning digging away at what you are doing.

When you purchase the entire Abbey Road album you get the Abbey Road Medley, which is every song from the B-side of the album put together in one big medley. It's over 10 minutes long, so there's LOTS of points to be had. I played it with 4 people (and backup vocals) and we got something like 1.2 million points on it.
[Edit] I see I was hastily beaten. Well played, gentlemen.
Does anyone have Castle Crashers and is missing some of the more pesky achievements (like 20 all-you-can-quaff ranked)? I wouldn't mind getting those done and all I need is at least one guy online with it.

I got the Castle Crashers achievements for all you can quaff and battle online and it took me forever but I actually ended up getting those legit. Unfortunately it cost me my enjoyment of the game as well as any desire to play it again.
Bioshock - Actually, I have a question on this. I only need to beat the game on hard for one achievment and the other is brass balls which I'm getting conflicting reports on. Do I beat the game on hard with vita chambers turned off (I turned them off as soon as I could) or do I have to beat it in a single playthrough without dying once?
I'm actually doing this now.
It's a pain. Not because it's hard, but because getting the software conditions right is hard. You have to play through without ever having been booted to a vita-chamber. Even if you load immediately after, it still counts and will nerf teh achievement.
There's also issues with you having to have both the DLC and the software update active (you can tell that this is the case when there are 51 acheivements displayed in the profile and you have the option of turning off the vita-chamber). Which you should do.
If that isn't the case then you need to clear the system cache, start a new gamer profile and use that to download the DLC and system update, then play with your original profile. The problems most often arise when your XBOX has rrod'd and you get a new one.
This time around because Big Daddies are so much more of a challenge I can watch t hem interact w ith the Little Sisters. I always felt bad about killing them, but now I feel really bad. Watching them pat the little sisters on the head or take their hand is heartwarming, and then heart breaking when I launch a flaming barrel at them.

I reloaded to my previous save every time I died and respawned in a vita-chamber, and I got the achievement.
Bioshock is actually the only game I 100%'d on a single playthrough. Woo for 1100 achievement points!

Hey liar, how does it feel to be such a liar, liar? Maybe you should lie less.

Or alternatively, getting the achievement still relies upon the disable vita chambers, and if it isn't there chances are you are hummed.

on the topic of achievements... i just finished Saw, which is actually worth a rent if you're a fan of the movies or survival horror, but in one play through its possible to 1000/1000 it.

Indy isn't too bad. I managed that.
I'd like to do the LEGO Starwars : Complete Saga, only need the final Achievement for getting it to 100%.
But that involves doing the hidden blue block playthrough, and that may take some time. Get 100 G's for doing that.
