It'll probably get uploaded somewhere, but no US channels will broadcast it.

I'm pretty sure that most people's list of Things I Would Enjoy goes something like this:

    #n: not dying
    #n+1: being a martyr

so it's not hard to imagine why.

I mean, in Cuba we're imprisoning some people without any chance of legal representation for going on five years now, and that's less than 100 miles from the US.

Iraq is on the other side of the planet. I guess we can basically do whatever we want there, huh?

and not western style hanging either

where there's a platform and quick jerk of the neck

no this is gonna be a middle-east style hangin'

on a crane, lifting him slowly so he suffocates and defecates himself.

for one thing this was kind of the iraqi's decision

and another it's not like hanging is that inhumane compared to gas or lethal injection

    also

for the love of christ people

i know some of you are really anti-death penalty

some of you are so extreme you're ready to light a candle for every schmuck you heard died on the news.

but in this one instance, can't you at least accept that this isn't some kind of travesty of vengeance and human evil and that this guy really isn't worth getting worked up over.

i mean, his death might cause a massive shit storm of terrorism and rioting and outright civil war in iraq.

that's a legit thing to be antsy about

but man don't get all teary-eyed over a guy who used to load people into wood-chippers feet first.
