I just would like to have been a fly on the wall in Cera's acting class.
Ok, do confused. Excellent. Now happy...no thats still confused...happy...smile....ooook...try sad. No thats still confused. Michael? Michael are you ok? Oh my god he's not breathing, are you in pain Michael? Michael I can't tell you still look confused, TELL ME ARE YOU IN PAIN!?
The effects and everything are amazing, but yeah the main actors seem flat in this trailer. If Cera doesn't mope around the whole time and smiles, this kind work out OK.
Cera has some range. He threw some truly epic, screaming shit-fits in Clark and Michael. Even just in the trailer, he seems to be projecting and showing a little more bravado than he's usually required to.
I'm kind of hoping this movie will be what The Spirit tried really, really hard to be, but failed to live up to; a surreal, kind of Roger Rabbit take on reality.
The comics are so good, I might judge this movie too harshly. We shall see, I suppose. What they showed of the fights in that trailer looked great. I cannot wait for "too fast to live."

Looks ok, I agree some of the sound effects were a bit unecessary (like "whip!"). Optimistic though.
Chris Evans looked good for the part of Lucas Lee.
When I first heard Chris Evans mentioned I was worried he'd be too young for the part. I keep forgetting he was young when he got turned into Cap. It's like when he got changed it also immediately turned him into a 40 yr old Boy Scout.
Actually, you know, I don't understand the INTENSE PASSION that fuels the love for the Scott Pilgrim comic, but now that I've watched the movie trailer, I must say, it looks like a lot of fun.

This is the most awesome thing I've read all day, and I just read David Mamet's memo to The Unit writers about how they need to pay attention to their g-d jobs.

I do so much boring, expositive, passive writing for work that ever since I read Bambi vs. Godzilla and saw him on Charlie Rose I've tried as hard as I can to follow his advice in my fictional writing. Anyway, this is an amazing distillation and just a thing of beauty.

The Unit was such a cool show.
That is a great memo, albiet in all caps. Its actually very informative and gives me some ideas for how I want my comic to go.

I like to think that TLB was a joke that continued on for so long that it eventually gained sentience and became self-perpetuating.
