Greetings people of Boston! I will be visiting your fair city on Friday.
My first stop will be the Onyx Hotel where I am staying. I hear it is pretty swank.
After dumping my luggage, I will be visiting the Sam Adams brewery. I will get as much free beer as possible and then give it all to my husband because I am a loser baby who does not like beer.
I am gong to a wedding at some point the next day and then a party in some place that is neither a Jamaica nor a Plains but is for some reason named after both. What is up with that?
So tell me, Wubble Woo: what else should I do and who will entertain me with lap dances and alcoholic beverages?
Edit: this thread can also be about beer, weddings or other cool places to visit that are not Boston.
Haha, when do you arrive? I'll be leaving Boston on Friday.
I did the freedom trail thingy on tuesday night and since it ends in north end I ate there in some Italian restaurant. Sadly the food was only mediocre, but I felt that the time spent walking there on the freedom trail was a few hours well spent as I have never really been to Boston before this.
ugh, i remember going to boston for a friend's bachelor party last year and have one friend insist on walking the whole freedom trail after a hard night of drinking, while it was buttass cold march. that was the least fun anything ever.
but the sam adams brewery tour is excellent! have fun!

nah, my friend was insistent that we enjoy a little history to clean off the stink of drink and debauchery for the weekend. i just remember being so pissed at him for dragging us all out. and crossing that one terrifying bridge with the kinda grated bottom, so it looks like you'd fall at any minute. not fun.
What's funny is that I came up to Boston from California where the weather took a turn for the worse and its cold and rainy there, yet here in Boston it's cold, but clear! Still cold though, at least I'm not wet. =(
Yeah my last psychiatrist/psychologist (I dont know the difference) said the same thing right before I flew into a rage and broke his keyboard... Hey wait a sec...

a psychiatrist is a physician who has gone to med school and specializes in treating mental disorders
additionally they have a bit more of a focus on the use of psychiatric drugs since they are pretty much the only ones who can prescribe them (aside from clinical psychologists in certain states)
psychologist is a broader term but starting at the beginning of the etymology, they were scholars of the mind
researchers of behavior and the brain
however psychology has branched out to also involve being a clinician, although they are generally unable to prescribe drugs
a traditional PhD in psychology is essentially a research specialization while the Psy D is a clinical specialization
that is the difference
if you care

Sweating is pretty lame, but the cold is not awesome, sir. You are wrong, sir. (Don't hurt me)
Take it out on your keyboard, that will alleviate the rage and bring you into a centered calm.
over the long term it will just form into an automatic response to stress
