Okay, I'll send some steam friend invites and we can figure out logistics for a 4-pack. I don't know your steam handle, Foolish Chaos, so please send a friend invite to me. Steam community page is here.
As I said, I'm going to see if some of my real life friends are interested first. At least one of them is, waiting on others to respond...
But don't let me hold you guys back. I'm sure you can find another
Alright then, LF1M borderlands 4-pack! Do you want to play a game with like a bazillion guns (:D), but have no friends that are as awesome as you (:()? This is your chance to get in on the ground floor for cheaper than the average joe!
I'd be interested in going in on a four pack if there is still room.
Steam friend invite sent, and I've PM'd details to the three of you.
Yeah, that's pretty much my deciding factor too. How much fun it is to punch shit. It seems like they wouldn't have made a whole tree and a half of a character (not to mention his class skill) unless it was actually pretty fun. Guess we'll see. From my understanding, when you're in Berserker (BERSERKER!) mode, you can only punch?

That's my impression, yeah. I figure it'll be an "OH SHIT" button when you're suddenly at extremely close range with several enemies and your shotgun isn't reloading fast enough. My primary concern is how hard you'll have to work to keep it scaling properly to do that job.
The whole 'shooting to heal' thing.... Is that damage dealt from guns converted into health or is it overall damage dealt? 'Cause using Bricks Berserker on your teammates to heal them would be awesome.
This was the Brick Build I was considering. Though I may change things up depending on just how much additional health regeneration and Damage Reduction Berserk by itself provides. I also want to see if getting sting like a bee will cause all punches to make you dash. That strikes me as something that'd come off as annoying.
Actually, this build is pretty much questionable until I can get some real specifics on it. Like Revenge and whether or not it too stacks to Melee Damage, since it says ALL weapons. More Than Double your damage for killing an enemy? Fuck yeah.
Depending on how fast/slow Explosive weapons fire I may switch Endowed for Rapid Reload.
Head to the Fortune Hunters section. Info on each character there plus links to a skill tree editor for each.
But to cut long story short:
Brick = Explosive Weapons and his fists.
Mordecai = Sniper Rifles and Revolvers.
Roland = Shotguns and Combat Rifles.
Lilith = Incendiary, Shock and Corrosive guns.
I will be picking this up for sure. I will be on the 360 so I will be joining that group for some mayhem. Torn between a tank style Brick or a support heavy Roland.

After watching these streams of people playing Borderlands already, I'm pretty set on rolling a Tank Brick for my first play-through. I figure if I can get fully upgraded health / shield / juggernaut / payback / unbreakable by lvl 30, I should be nearly impossible to kill.

Especially if you have me boosting health regen with my kills and laying down turrets that heal you

The "Shoot to heal" is a Roland specific skill, so no healing teammates by punching them in the head. You can however fire rockets at their head.
I'm not quite sure which class I want to be yet. Normally I really like sniping etc., but in a co-op game it usually doesn't work so well, because most people like rushing forward. Maybe I'll just be Brick. Few people are interested in that (haven seen anyone mention it recently) so at least I'll be wanted :P
I'm not sure why that would be a bad thing for a sniper. It means if you shoot someone and it doesn't kill them, you won't be the first thing they rush to. Then again, it might be harder to keep up with loot, but that shouldn't be a problem if you don't play with dicks and let them realize the snipers that drop will be more useful to you than to them.
So, I'm going to ask again since it's the day time, now, and people might see it before the invite requests spam it off the page. :P
What does daze do?
I know, I know, accuracy and speed penalties to the target. But how much? Does it just inflict some shitty minor run speed debuff, or does it knock mobs so stupid that they have a hard time fighting back?

Here is what I was thinking for a Brick Tree.
I think this is what I will try first of all. Will go deep into the Medic tree first for survivability. Then probably the Support skills next.

I mean, i know rocket launchers for Brick and sniper rifles for Mordecai but what else?

Modecai has pistols too.
Think Roland is assault rifles and shotguns and lilith is elemental weaponry.

Hey! Mine is going to be white and red!
Mordechai - Sniper rifles and pistls
Roland - shotguns and rifles
Brick - rockets and fists
Lilith - incendiary, corrosive and shock

Truer words have never been spoken.
Just consider the types above to be their niche. Plus their skills have an effect on them.
Thanks in advance.

Goddamnfuckshitcocks I want this game bad.

I am one of those horrible UK people. Won't have it til the 30th.
But fear not, I'm sure we still be able to shoot mans and collect loots.
This will last a long long long time.

i'm leaning towards Brick since I imagine the more unique styles of gun would be of the launcher variety.
the "sting like a bee" skill seems interesting but, like someone mentioned before, it could end up rather annoying.
EDIT:
Thanks!

Oh FOR FUCKS SAKE.
Last time I checked it was 26th, now we have to wait 4 more days. That is such horseshit.
Its not like it even needs to be localized, its a fucking PC game.
