In the campaign stage battles you can summon your upgraded deuce as well. That thing will tear through enemies lickity-split.

So is there a way to get the Brutal difficulty trophy/achievement without overwriting your previous save? Can I like set it to Brutal and then do the Chapter select or something? Or do I just need to finish up all the other collect trophies before I switch to the Brutal difficulty one.

This trend of allowing only one save is becoming increasingly annoying in games.

I don't know. You can jump around chapters as much as you want and whenever you redo the final chapter, you get everything back. I don't know what would entail redoing this for the Brutal achievement.

I play as Drowning Doom just so I can hear this when I'm wrecking shit.

But today in Ranked Battle, the Rockcrusher is basically the death of me. Does anyone have a handle on how The Organist Double Team works? I tried Double Team, and I take control of the spirit, and I got close to the Rockcrusher and was hitting A but nothing happens.

Anyone found any benefit to the unit upgrades?

It doesn't seem to improve their survivability or damage by any easily-seen amount.. anyone know what the percentages are?

Well, a normal razor girl double team takes about 8 shots to kill a leech. An upgraded one takes 6.

:^: on the thread title change.

There really needs to be a general "Metal" thread in D&D or SE++ or something. Discuss bands we're listening to, shows, ect.

It's called the Heshers thread. Slang for metal enthusiast.

Be warned that most people there won't like your type of metal. Doesn't matter what type unless it is obscure.

    ...Wow.

I never thought I'd see the day where the exact same thread existed on GAF and was more civil and open minded o_O

Not to mention they seem to occasionally fall into that whole "If it's too mainstream it sucks" mindset, which pisses me off to no end. Is it wrong to like a band as long as I like their sound? D: I mean I like all of In Flames. Even their "sell-out" stuff from reroute to remain onward. God forbid.

Oh I know. For me, as long as it sounds good, and the lyrics aren't too mind numbingly bad or stupid (Loved the first couple Demon Hunter CDs before they became too blatantly christian), I'll listen to it. Though It helps that the guy that got me into metal is one of the most eclectic people around.

This is going to sound a bit pants-on-head, but are you introduced to the Motor Forge through the main quest or am I missing something? I haven't had much time to play this and I just beat the first big stage battle, and I've seen the 'New items in Motor Forge!' message a couple of times now.

Yeah, this is really something the game should have mentioned in a cut-scene. You basically have to stumble on it by accident. It's a pretty BIG thing to miss, but still, it can happen.

Well as I see it if you're driving around the Viking songs ( in particular the first one) seem like better "I'm just driving aimlessly doing nothing" music. I haven't played Brutal yet so I'm probably giving the music a narritive purpose which it probably doesn't have in game .

The thing is, manuals are nice and all, but I want to play the game straight away and have it guide me for just the right amount of time until the training wheels can be taken off. Brutal Legend does a pretty good job of this, expect for telling you about the Motor Forge.

Speaking of which, I did find it, thanks cooljammer. I knew what the Motor Forge was, I was just blind when it came to the relics. Love the intro to it, as well.

Does anyone have advice on beating Ironheade in the arms race? I hold them off and even make assaults on their base for a while, but once they crank out a Rockcrusher, I'm utterly clueless.

Last time, I was dumping Dirgible urns on the opponent's rockcrusher for like five minutes out of desperation.

I tried to use the Organist Double Team, but I'm not sure how it works or how to tell if it's working. I control the ghost, move to the Rockcrusher and press A, but nothing happens.

    Dammit, did nobody ready my explanation of the multplayer? I worked hard to emphasize that this game resurrects Battlezone and Sacrifice. Maybe I should change the thread title to. Battlezone and Sacrifice resurrected. ;_;

Also, Gamefaqs gave me important advice on the meaning of the color of the geysers. If there is a single enemy unit near a contested geyser. YOU will see it as red. This much is obvious.

HOWEVER, sometimes you'll see your opponent claim it while it's red and you're still there killing dudes. This is because not only can you not hit a geyser, you DO NOT count as contesting the geyser. Only your troops can do this. In such a case, your opponent sees it as green and you see it as red.

Perhaps they were dropped because they wouldn't have had music as distinctive as the other three? I'm sure the gameplay for Speed Demons could be unique, but in terms of music they could take from both Ironheade and Tainted Coil.

Please don't try that. Instead use Chapters. I confirmed in Chapters you lose everything if you start over, but get everything back when you skip to the end and beat the last chapter. I can't confirm if what you find in Chapters gets added to what you got in the first try.
