Ah, the Jorvik Viking Centre. Always worth a giggle, especially the mannequin of the guy taking a massive dump.

I went about 18 years ago to Jorvik.

Last time I was in York I had no desire to pay the entrance fee.

It's a decent museum, but of the school-trip type. I think a trip there often forms the centrepiece of kids Viking school projects.

    Oh, definitely.

Going there is an irreplaceable piece of my childhood. :rotate:

Something dreadful just occured to me. If the postal strike in the UK is starting on the 22nd, will this mean games being sent to stores will be disrupted? D:

Will Forza 3/Borderlands not get to the stores?!

    BASTARDS!!!

Fast shipments won't (release day games are usually shipped ups or its local equiv) regular shipments will still arrive the normal way. So you'll miss release day, but be able to get it shortly thereafter.

Ahh but is that the equivalent for massive stocks being sent to Game/Gamestation etc?

Surely your postal service has nothing to do with commercial truck and train shipping, which is how those games will be getting to their destinations.

I don't know. I imagine not no. What will likely be disrupted is any pre orders made for games that don't offer particular shipping (ie not post but UPS, business mail, fedex etc).

I wonder if the Borderlands thread and the Forza 3 thread should be warned.

Depends, as I recall most gamestops don't normally get new releases shipped to them by long haulers, I think they do get a shipment like that, but not as often as a new shipment is sent UPS.
