They had cameras on it for a long time before it got that high it seems. If he jumped he probably jumped within the first minute or two.

Actually this is true. The fact that their bones haven't set yet helps out the ickle tikes when falling.

The kid is hiding under his porch right now I bet, scared out of his mind at how much trouble he's going to be in.

    This is my hope.

Elvis and the Loch Ness monster descended on a mother-of-pearl staircase and plucked the boy from the balloon, taking him to Purgatory to be sodomized by former Popes.

Human adults have survived falls of over 22,000Feet without a parachute due to varying factors, so yes.

Yeah that's what i'm hoping. Even if it got up a reasonable height he might have been able to jump safely.

    from the huffington post
Falcon Heene was reportedly the boy stuck in a hot air balloon. (UPDATE: IT LANDED, NO ONE IS INSIDE) The six-year old is the son of Richard and Mayumi Heene of Ft. Collins, Colo. Richard is a storm chaser and scientist. The parents were on "Wife Swap" and returned for the 100th episode, so information on the family is online. They apparently sleep in their clothes so they can leap from bed and run after a storm.
Falcon has two older brothers, Bradford and Ryo.

That or the father accidentally let his experimental balloon go and didn't want to lose it, so he made up a story about his kid being in it so the news helicopter would follow it.
