    From 6500-8000 feet?

    you'd be surprised

people occasionally survive parachutes not opening

The most famous one had a sort of half open chute, she didn't straight fall.

Is that the stewardess chick who got blown out of an airplane she wasn't supposed to be on?

    from the huffington post
Falcon Heene was reportedly the boy stuck in a hot air balloon. (UPDATE: IT LANDED, NO ONE IS INSIDE) The six-year old is the son of Richard and Mayumi Heene of Ft. Collins, Colo. Richard is a storm chaser and scientist. The parents were on "Wife Swap" and returned for the 100th episode, so information on the family is online. They apparently sleep in their clothes so they can leap from bed and run after a storm.
Falcon has two older brothers, Bradford and Ryo.

    Read more at: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/10/15/falcon-heene-balloon-boy_n_322736.html

Next up, Ryo gets stabbed to death in a favela, and Bradford graduates summa cum laude in poli sci

It's sad that the modern republican party seriously orchestrated a vote against an amendment that prevented employers from allowing actual rape getting government contracts.

If it's over 2000 feet or so, it doesn't really matter; may as well be a million feet, because you're going to have hit terminal velocity long ago.

And you can absolutely survive a fall of that height. A lot depends upon where you land, and what sort of surface it is.

Real gang rape and imprisonment? Just the cost of doing business.
