    Profile -> Signature Settings -> Hide signatures always. Then you don't have to read this worthless text anymore.

    for some reason I assumed rami played spy that's why I was saying it

    I also have a fro and a picklehaube, I'd trade any for the fireman hat.

    The heavy on the update page has changed to a scout now for me, I'm guessing they're all out of hats.

    EDIT: Only achievement I can't guess at is the Costume Contest, maybe it's for getting all the other hats, who knows.

    Oh right, that's cool, at least it makes it more of a measure of skill rather than luck, unlike the other hats.

    MMOs usually give you an unlimited number of chances to get an item, though. It might not be the one you are looking for and so you're partially bound by luck, but you can always retry the dungeon/boss/whatever for another chance.
