I really like this character creator. Its way better than Oblivion's, which was basically move the sliders two clicks away from the center and you have an unholy abomination.
Yeah, I admit that was hyperbolic. Dragon Age isn't that hard to make a decent face with.
the only character I ever got to look halfway decent in Oblivion was my redguard.
Pancake, I can't tell whether you were going for Christian Bale or Matthew Fox.
Either way, I'd hit that.
I'm waiting for Kotaku to pick up this post and run with it like a greased up Gump.
Hey, I didn't say I'd let him snuggle me afterwards or anything. Just a manly kind of, "Hey, nice fight, man, those darkspawn suck ass, anyway, you wanna maybe grab an ale and grapple sweatily later to blow off some steam?"
Sigh. Just went through all of that to discover that arcane warrior is a mage spec and not a warrior spec. And of course, selecting modify exsisting character instantly returns them to default appearance and so is basically pointless.

It only resets if you switch classes.
What bugs me is that the tattoos don't save. Preorder canceled? (Am i doing this right?)

Read my post again and guess what I want to do.
Seriously, going from male human warrior to male human mage should not require wiping every bit of customisation I've made to him. Considering, you know, the appearance choices and voices are absolutely identical.

This browser game is stupid. Especially because it wants me to fill out 3 surveys to get the second item. Who in the flying monkey fuck thought that would be a good idea?
The only thing I disliked about the character creation, as far as physical appearance is concerned is how crappy the beards look. They just look like glued on santa beards. Also, the gray hair colour looks way too white. I guess they were going for "anime elven chick white", and not "old guy gray". When I play my RPGs, I always like to create my characters as haggard, world weary veterans.
Oh well, thats okay. I made use of the decent looking stubble and made a guy who looks sorta like Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn.

Also... fuck that flash game man. I played it all of yesterday and got two of the unlockables, but my progress didn't save. I'm starting to think they deleted my progress on purpose because I started mocking their surveys with my answers once the second one came around. When asked what my favorite game was, I said, "Survey Quest 64". I even named my 2nd character "Surveyalyn", she was an elven mage.
The character creator is good. Nothing too special, but certainly better than Oblivion's train wreck. It did succeed in getting me incredibly hyped for this game though. Cannot fucking wait.

Best way to go about this is to copy all the sliders for you character, per category, and recreate him that way.

From my experience, you don't have to fill out the surveys. When you open the survey it counts toward the item on your unlock screen. So just unlock a survey, open it, then close it. It should count.

I know right, apparently to grow sideburns like that you have to give up eating for a month.
Every single fantasy game, I always want to make an archer type who looks like this.
Mass Effect had the option, and thats about it. :x
On the plus side, you can have a Gaul 'stash. Like Asterix. Awesome.

I usually use the expression slider on the portrait to give an idea of different expressions.

Oh god, there are no exclamation marks? Preorder cancelled.
I wasn't going for anyone. I was going for a man with stubble and a chiseled jaw. A real man with a capital GRR.

Damn them!
Beards have rarely if ever managed to look good in crpgs from my experience. Unless you're playing a dwarf. Then any sort of hair-on-face looks good.
I'm a wizard
I'm a mystic
I've got a big wand
And a big .... hat

NO! I'm doing the gayest little dance of excitement about this. 8-)
Since this thread is almost up...probably
I like to play nice people in RPG's because I am an asshole in real life.
/escapism for the win.
Cause... medieval armor was never designed for women?
I got nothing.
I think its looks pretty awful for both. Unflattering two piece for elf females. Peter Pan for males.
But...they all have cleavage.
