Im so so close to commiting to this. Last year I did the VC Santa and had a blast (and still cant beat Mega Man 9!). Its just money is SUPER tight this year and I know Im going to get someone who lives on the moon and shipping will murder me.
Don't worry so much about shipping stuff. One year, I got a guy from Finland (or something weird) and determined that it would cost me nearly $80 to ship anything of a decent size. Instead, I used the German Amazon to send a package of shit and didn't pay a penny in taxes.
After several weeks and no gift, I emailed their support (who thankfully also spoke English) and they gave me a full refund, which I used to buy a bunch of other shit. (Two of the original items were out of stock at that point). They said if the first package ever arrived to refuse the shipment, but if it arrived and wasn't refused, to keep it as "our thanks."
Turns out, both packages arrived at my Santee's house a week later on the same day.
So, shipping charges can be avoided by ordering from your Santee's local merchants, and sometimes you get extra shit!

I looked at every pic from last year's SS and got excited for this. I do not know a single soul on here (or do I?) but it looks too much fun to pass up!
I sent a letter to Wunderbar last year. Wasn't anything spectacular, but it did have the Penny Arcade Hotsteppers logo on it since he was on the team. I acted as his coach.
Did you play through PoR? I'm almost at the end, trying to grind and get all the weapons I can. It's a fantastic game.
Come to think of it I never finished it! My DS hasn't been getting a whole lot of love since I started my new job... stupid work eating up all of my time!
Last year I was moving around Christmas time so I didn't take part. The year before I was in China and my gifts were according. Anyway, I've since moved back to Finland with my family and I'm taking part again. It's still international shipping for most santas, but at least this time I don't have to worry about the mail not delivering my package.

Did an R.P.D Perfect Shot. And had an R.P.D. shirt printed up. I wanted to include a copy of Umbrella Chronicles but my Santee already had it!
That was a fucking awesome gift! and its stood up real well , I use it for House of the dead and fuck! does it make me accurate! as for the t-shirt..it faded and cracked a little so its a bed t-shirt(although the post person did ask which station i worked out of, when i got the mail one morning)o_O
Also Doc I get married in early Dec so if you can let me know who to stalk as soon as possible that would be great!

I didn't sign up last year due to feeling a little guilty about making some guy go through the trouble of posting stuff to England or trying to find out where to buy stuff online in England. But I thought screw it this year, I was an awesome Santa the year before and it wouldn't right to deny people of that awesomeness. Still, sorry if you end up getting me...
Anyway, apart from obscure chocolates and crisps (chips?) anyone got any other suggestions about what people may like from the UK?

Yes I'm aware that Americans have developed individuality, I was just looking for general suggestions.
I just buy up one of everything I like from the chocolate bar section of my local supermarket and use it instead of packing foam. Any chocloate you send from here will blow their minds. Have you ever eaten American chocolate? If this is what independence bought them I think they paid too high a price :P
Kinder eggs are a good novelty as well as their crazy FDA won't allow non-food within food.
I'd just like to state ahead of time that whoever has me as their Santa may need to either put up with my gift in several parts, or may need to just put up with a gift that gets sent in the second week of January.
The flipside to this is that it would be sent in the second week of January because that's when I will be returning from Japan...so you can either hope that you get your full present earlier so you don't have to wait, or you can hope that you get it later because you are tantalized by the thought of getting something hand carried from Japan. Which would you rather have?!
Signed up! This is probably the most festively fantastic thing I take part in each christmas. Always look forward to it.
