I'm willing to bet it works faster if he wraps his dick in it.
I actually laughed while thinking about this.
It might, it might not. I don't think we'll ever find out, though. Unless DC releases a porno version of their comics in the near future.
...
Come to think of it, that would probably sell really well.

It'd sell great as long as no one made a joke in it!
re: Rogue
I'm not nearly the Marvel buff so this may have changed somehow, but if she makes skin-to-skin contact, it messes the other person up pretty good. So if she can just figure out how to have sex without that, she can go to town. But really, Whippy or Shoe would know this one better than me.

It usually fucks him up pretty fast. I mean, comics books are inconsistent as shit, but the pain he experiences from kryptonite would probably make it hard for him to orgasm.
It's often shown to have him instantly crawling on the ground in pain, or otherwise incapacitated.
That's probably the only thing that messes this whole thing up, is the inconsistancy at which the series has had in it's past. sometimes he passes out, and others he seems to take it well.
Either way, I don't think either of us will be able to prove one way or the other. Good discussion, though.
I can say for sure that a Kryptonite condom would fuck up the DCAU version of Superman pretty well, and that opting for a magic condom or red lights would be more practical solution.

like maybe can rogue have sex with that metal dude
does it work on metal skin

help me out here
I think she actually dated Colossus for a while in one continuity or another, if I'm not mistaken. A big part of that was the fact that she couldn't kill him with her hands.

I believe rogue has been shown to not be able to have any skin-to-skin contact. As a teenager, she kissed a guy and either put him in a coma, or killed him (my memory is sketchy on this, as it's been awhile).
A condom might work, but you'd have to be able to cover any area that might have contact with her.
Almost like those full body condoms from The Naked Gun series.

if rogue were pregnant would she life drain the baby
I'm pretty sure that even mutation is sometimes inherited genetically, the child rarely inherits the same abilities.
As for Rogue's power killing baby, there's a few questions to answer.
1. Would her body drain the sperm before fertilization could even occur?
2. If no, and if she were able to bring the baby to term, would she be able to touch it then?
3. If that's no, it likely wouldn't be able to be brought to term, which begs the question, at what point would her body recognize the fetus as a genetically seperate being?
Honestly, I think the sperm would be dead before fertilization.

From an evolutionary standpoint, it'd be dumb if she couldn't have a baby because the entire point of evolution is to evolve new traits and then, ya know, pass them on.

maybe she secretly is capable of a different form of reproduction

Didn't the cartoon have mutant power supressing collars? If so, couldn't she just wear one of those if she wanted to have sex with someone and get pregnant?

Then she would be a case of evolution fucking up, and in doing so she'll be unable to reproduce and won't pass on the bad genes.
So... Artificial insemination. (as we know she can't have skin-on-skin contact, and a metal dick, ALA Collossus, would seriously hurt.)
Mom and baby would have the same powers, so each power would cancel each other out, making her baby the first person she can actually touch without killing/almost killing.

so basically
rogue's son would be the first dude she could fuck

Well, mutation is random, so not all traits brought about by it are beneficial. And the ones that actually inhibit survival and/or reproduction end up not getting passed on to future generations.

There's also the fact that most mutants powers aren't revealed until puberty. So her child would be pretty much fucked.
Except we don't know for sure that they would have the same powers or that her body wouldn't destroy the sperm.
If you're looking at an evolutionary stand point, then the child will be very similar to the mother. one drastic changer per five or six generations as species evolved.
Ah, but what about the case of Nightcrawler; it's possible for the child to have some sort of protective mutation at birth, like, say, five inch spines covering it's whole body.

Like I said, most mutants powers don't show themselves until puberty. There are some that are there from birth. Nightcrawler has a pretty demonic looking father... Azazel iirc. He's not a demon, but he looks a lot like one.

But we've seen in the books that the children don't necessarily inherit their parents' powers, and the kid wouldn't get them til puberity anyway.

Does the Savage Land also surpress mutant powers? Maybe Rouge could go there for her honeymoon, get pregnant and give birth, all without having worry about accidentally sucking out her fetus's life energy. I mean, she'd have to watch out for dinosaurs and such like, of course, but it seems a decent trade off to me.

It must suck to have such awesome birth control and then not be able to have all kinds of sex.
