Both are far better than PSP Go games which cost full price for even older games, without a case/manual, or ability to trade it in.

PSP Go games come with a manual. It's a digital manual that you access by pressing the triangle button when you select the game, but if you're the kind of person who owns a PSP Go, you probably prefer that kind of manual anyway.

And PSP Go game prices are all over the place. You have some games like Guilty Gear Judgment which are an absolute steal (I'm not even much of a fighting game fan and I'm tempted to buy it since it's only $6). You have some games like Wild Arms XF which are priced respectably ($15 which is about as cheap as you're going to find the game, even used). Then you have stuff like Persona which is full price. Finally, you have some stuff that's inexplicably slightly more than retail like Jeanne D'arc.

Yes. The 360 also knocked the Wii out from first place for home consoles during one of the holiday seasons when the Wii was extremely supply-constrained. So this is the 3rd time in around 3 years that the Wii hasn't been the top console.

Yeah, you had the right idea though. The Wii most certainly was supply constrained during its launch and the month after...and the year after that. One benefit to that though is that they sold pretty much every console they shipped to the US for around 20 months or so. :P

For being Rock Band rather than Guitar Hero, and with the so-called music game fatigue, I find these numbers pleasant as well.

It is nice that EA/MTV/Harmonix finally decided to not be stupid with the Wii launch of a product though, and guess what, it looks like they were rewarded.

We know all eyes are going to be on the Rock Band and Guitar Hero sales since the music/dance genre has been so closely followed by many this year. Both titles captured a spot in the top 10 for the month and at the item level, across all platforms, The Beatles: Rock Band came in third behind Halo 3: ODST and Madden NFL 10 while Guitar Hero 5 came in fourth. The Beatles: Rock Band achieved this level of success with an average retail price premium of 130% to the average retail price for software overall.

In an email, MTV said that it sold 100,000 downloads of the song “All You Need Is Love” in September.

I'm frankly shocked at how will M&L 3 did with very little advertising. I mean it basically came up at E3 and was in a few magazine ads and then blamo, it dropped right in the top of a very competitive top ten.
