Dang man, no one watches G4TV for video game news anymore. It's all about terrible Japanese game shows nowadays.
Or is that Spike TV?
Or both?
You have heard that there's a trailer scheduled to come out this Friday on G4tv which will then likely be up on the Internet at some point shortly thereafter, possibly even in longer form, right?
Oh snap. I'll have to go check that out.
I don't mean to be a dnozzel about it. I just stopped watching G4tv when they started replacing some of the better TechTV shows with shit like Ninja Warrior.
In ME1? You get the codex entry at the kiosk in the lower wards where the one human C-Sec guy is. Eddie something, I think. I just figure that all similar kiosks around the game world are used for that function.
So, is anyone else running ME1 on Windows 7, and getting their audio files cut off at around the last half second or so? Could this be because I had the game already loaded on my system with Vista, and just upgraded to 7 without reloading the game? I've tried alt-tabbing and reloading the game entirely, and neither seems to work.
Sadly, I thought you meant RPGCodex, and I went in expecting incredibly hateful invective mixed with shouted nostalgia for Wizardry / Ultima / Fallout, but only the real one / Planescape:Torment / Bloodlines.

They're trying to keep Mass Effect a secret until Dragons Age passes.
I assume the marketing machine will go into full swing come December/January.
I get that, but Borderlands is doing 100x more damage to Dragon Age than a ME2 trailer would. Seriously, with the insane reception that game is getting at least from the hardcore crowd, there's a reasonable chance Dragon Age suffers at least a bit. I know the audiences for both games don't entirely overlap, but still. There's a lot of people that like both a shooter/action-RPG and an old-school RPG, and right now those people have less money to spend on games and their gaming time is being devoted to playing with their buddies in Borderlands.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think Dragon Age is dead in the water or anything. I just don't think that doing some small ME2 promotion would have any more of an adverse effect on the public's awareness of Dragon Age than Borderlands is already doing.
I don't think borderlands(good game, have been playing it while I've been sick here) is doing that much damage to DA, they're very different games from one another.
If anything I think it came out at a good time since people who come off of playing borderlands will have the taste for RPGishness and hey, DA is a full fledge fantasy RPG/RPG that might just fit that bill.
Might have been less fun for both games had they come out in the same week though.
But really, borderlands is quite fun. Wish it crashed my PC less, but I'm not sure how much of that is borderlands' fault and how much it's the fault of a QA guy doing his normal QA method of playing.
If I had the cash, I'd buy both, well provided that I didn't play DA for 6 months straight, but I never did get to the end of that game. I wonder how it ends, I heard that in the end, rosebud was a sled.
Plus, right now, the PC versions of Dragon Age and Borderlands have about the same level of functioning multiplayer.
I got it to work alright, the voice chat is crap though.
I thought for a minute that borderlands came with an editor and I got all excited, then I just realized they left a couple editor related files in their game but disabled the editor
I'm looking forward to what people make for DA.
I'm also glad to say that ME2 at least is way more stable than Borderlands, at the moment.
Don't regret my purchase though, fun game.

What I'm trying to say is that on a scale of 1-10 in terms of how much attention is being diverted from DA, Borderlands would be maybe a 1 or 2, and any small ME2 promotion would be like a .1. That's what I was replying to before, the idea that ME2 can't be marketed until after DA is out so as to not draw attention away. I just made the point that Borderlands is doing relatively a lot more to draw attention away than any ME2 trailer could.
So, you know, if you guys wanted to show off some of those spiffy new class enhancements that have been alluded to, that'd be cool. I'm just saying, I think that four months is more than enough time to digest the new biotic 'pull' ability. Might be time to show something else.
There needs to be a subplot in ME3 where you go about calming down some Krogan who bought a cat with toast on its back from a wily human merchant. Humans need to fuck over the aliens a bunch more in ME3.
Ok, now I'm confused. I finished scanning all the keepers (finally) but now I can't seem to find the damn scientist. Am I just blind or do I need to wait till some other event comes up? I need to know about the keepers!

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it. ~ Terry Pratchett

Sadly the quest doesn't really have a conclusion, you just get some xp and money when you scan the last keeper.

Some have said that they might steal all of our extranets, and the people need reassurance.

While Batarians stealing our extranets is important, I am far more worried about them taking ownership of our bases.
Not sure, but I know it's a series of ships and mass effect relays.

Kind of curious why Jacob's look changed between Galaxy and ME2
So what happens if you butter Schroedinger's Cat?

Looks like he just grew out his hair, beard and got a bitchin swashbuckler stache. Not too crazy.
Hey, you're right.
But something is missing.
And before long...
I have nothing worth contributing.

Preliminary tests have yielded promising results.
I approve.

I do say, these hive mind creatures have put us in a sticky situation.
I never use the big, big BFG.
What never?
No never!
What, never?
Hardly ever.
I'm assuming the assassination of space-fish Lincoln is also on his resume.
