I'm guessing my backlog progress will start slowing down now, as I'm 5 hours into Demon's Souls and I'm barely scratching the surface. The difficulty really stepped up after 1-1. I'll be playing this game for a while, to say the least.
I will NOT purchase Batman Arkham Asylum off Amazon. I currently have a friend's copy who will let me borrow it indefinitely, so it's up to me to trophy spam before I give it back.

I farmed up another 75 lives and killed Wario with 47 left. Interesting Fact: if you die fighting Wario you have to do the ENTIRE STAGE from the start. Wario has 3 stages and I died at stage 3 several times. I had to restrain myself from snapping the screen right off the GBA.

That freaking turret defense near the end of the "Entanglement" chapter of Half Life 2 was just bullshit. Much like the fighting one gunship, then fighting two more at the same time at the end of the previous chapter. Just lots of swearing and "this isn't fun, it's stupid" comments from me.
But I got through it, by god.

Ok, I finished Bowser's Inside Story last night. Best of the Mario and Luigi games by a mile. Hilarious and a spotlight on one of the best villians of any video game. Bowser is awesome and this game showed why.
I also took Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga off my list as I had it on there because I wanted to play through it again, but have since decided to forego it for right now and work on games that I have yet to finish.
Also played Mother 3 for a while last night and gall dernnit is that game hard when all you have is Jackson to fight off hoards of ghosts. :x

You have no idea
How bad would it be if I play Borderlands alongside Demon's Souls?
Playing parallel to Demon's Souls, I think my order of games is inFamous, then Batman:AA, then maybe Dead Space before Borderlands. Poor Dead Space... I bought it back in July when my backlog was down to 1 or 2 console games. Since then, it has been leapfrogged by Heavenly Sword, Rainbow 6 Vegas, Valkyria Chronicles, Uncharted 2, Ratchet & Clank, Demon's Souls, and now inFamous and Batman. I'm sure it's a great game - I just kept getting other games that I had been looking forward to more or had some sort of history with.
Fuck it, I just can't do FEAR. I know it was a really good game in its time but now it is just too painful to my sensitive bourgeois gaming sensibilities.
Not much progress on my backlog over the weekend, but I did get a little further in Muramasa. I am absolutely loving it; not only is it gorgeous to look at, but the combat is very cathartic and satisfying to me. I am probably a little over half way through Momohime's story (I think I am on act 6). Trying to decide if I will call it complete after I beat both stories once, or if I want to go for the extra endings.
Anyone know about how long it takes to get the extra endings? If it ends up being a lot of grinding or repetition to get them, I may pass.
Serious Sam is a very weird game. I've never seen a game punish you so much for picking up the most pitiful of powerups.
'oh, so you want that +1 health in that corner? ONE MILLION MONSTERS SPAWN DIRECTLY BEHIND YOU! RAAARRRRR'
I don't know if they're trying to train you to ignore things you find on the ground or what. I was hoping to finally get through it, and I am, but it's taking a while because I can't play it for sustained periods because of things like that.

Hah, yeah I know. Over the years though, my gamer's stamina and focus has been cut downto the point where now I just find wave after wave of the same 100's of enemies more tiresome and annoying then fun. Heck, even on a smaller scale, I can't stand L4D/2 for more than 30 minutes since it's the same mechanic just with dozens of zombies.

added a game I hadn't thought of, I never beat Castlevania DoSorrow (the first ds castlevania game). I actually "beat" it on the crapper a little bit ago, and got what I presume is the bad ending where:
I kill the red haired guy, then dude in business suit walks me out of the castle, I stumble as I'm exiting the castle, then say I absorbed someone I defeated without killing him (I'm likely posessed). and then we walk out, roll credits.
Anyone here know what I have to do to get the good ending on CASTLEVANIA: Dawn of Sorrow?

A fair amount. You need all the swords for the true ending(s).

Notice the machinery in the middle of the room? If you use the Rycuda

FAQ 10: What are the endings in the game?
Answer: These are the endings, and how to get them:
Worst Ending: Obtained by beating Dario for the second time in the
Pinnacle.
Bad Ending: Obtained by beating Paranoia and Aguni, then not
equipping Mina's Talisman when entering the room in
the center of the castle in the Garden of Madness.
Best Ending: Wear the Mina's Talisman to the room in the center
of the Garden of Madness, then head to the Condemned
Tower and go to the room on the bottom right. It will
now allow you to enter the Mine of Judgement, which
leads to two more boss battles, the last area of the
game, and the real last boss.

It's been a while, but I played the game like 5 times so I think this is right. Mina(?) gave you a talisman at some point. Equip that talisman before you go into boss fight/room/place where Mina is detained.
Does that sound familiar? I could be imagining some of it.

What was really bizarre was the SECRET TRAP I found. It actually pops up SECRET TRAP! as the doors close behind you and the giant rocket launching enemies spawn directly above. It's like 'Here's a treat! ....I shit in your mouth!'
I did like finding the secret yodeller spot though.
I mean, I do like fighting the huge waves of enemies, I just wish that I could eventually assume that I had killed them all. And that no more would just appear behind me.
So Web of SHadows was taking forever and I have no idea how to get the various symbiote samples. Gamefaqs has no info for me either. That means I switch games and play something else for a little while! Popped in Lost & Damned again and nailed Marta Full of Grace finally. First go too which was weird considering I had attempted it atleast 20 times last time the game was in the disc tray. Ofcourse that just means a new mission will come up and I'll get stuck on that one. It's the first proper RAY mission. I gotta kill
Tony Prince or ihs guy or something. Problem is I'm on a bike with only grenades as useable weapons. Combat shotty can't be fired whilst riding. Sucks.
I'm going to have to come up with some ways of making money fast. Might just do that Ashley mission instead.
Wild surges are the best thing. My avatar is now permanently gold; I, at one point, dropped a cow on a party member, shot rainbows from my hands, and given myself the hiccups. Sometimes you're intended spell is cast twice, sometimes you're hit with you're own spell, sometimes you summon an army of small forest creatures.
Still working my way thru I-Ninja, which is, as was mentioned earlier in the thread, a fantastic little platformer. I'm over halfway thru the game, and I think I'll have it 100% completed by the end of the week.
