HOORAY I can level my Warrior. Gone is the dirty Gnome and her horrible camera view, hello cute tail waggle and horns.
And the pigtails. Always the pigtails.
My DK that I made for craps and giggles when they came out is a gnome. Due to having an overstock of stone keepers shards and emblems I have purchased most of the heirloom gear I will ever use. This lead to the DK hitting 80 recently and me greatly enjoying tanking/dpsing heroics with him.
I am thinking of going through race change just because of the horrible camera view The actual tank/dps applicable bonuses of every other race would just be icing.
So, Race Change is up and running. And it costs 25$. Isn't it a bit expensive?
Well, it's optional. I'm guessing they priced it low enough that the people who really want it will pay, and high enough to prevent gratuitous race changes "just cuz."
My guildies think the opening bit for Lord Jarraxus is hilarious.
Because...you know...the gnome gets blown up.
I like it too, we always used to make that jerkoff Gnome in Arcatraz die too.
edit: That instance was better than all the Wrath ones so far.
You make the Nerubians frown with your untruth.
I'd like AJ if it didn't take five minutes. I think it's the size of the Wrath instances that makes them boring to me, that and the stupid idea of giving everyone CC then making it so that it's never needed.

Yeah, I think if it was something they really wanted everyone to take advantage of, they wouldn't charge for it.
Being able to limit how many people will use it, and make a bit of revenue is a nice synergy for them.
End on
I wish that someway, somehow, that I could save every one of us
Oh, I was talking more about the aesthetics of the instances.
The CC thing is a bit unfortunate, but I looove the shortness of the instances. If I want to spend 2 hours, I'll just run 2 instances instead of 1, problem solved.

They priced it low enough to be exactly as expensive as the faction change which I think provides an overall greater and more valuable service.

It's expensive. You can tell they really don't like processing those requests.

I don't think they care, not when they just lowered the cooldown on faction changes to 3 days. The price is high in order for Blizzard to make $Texas.
I'm sorry, apparently my response didn't include enough giant gaps in the text or ellipsis to make sense to you.

would spaces have made it easier for you to read?
Ending my grammar nazi'ing for the day; Some simple context would've made it easier to read.
I think it's a bit odd to call someone out on failing to read something that looks like that post does. Things appear in between large swathes of space without a single spec of context! There's no reference point for whom your telling to fuck off, and then try to play it off like I'm unable to read your obviously well thought out prose? Bad form, sir. (or madam)
Believe me, as someone who commits infrequent Big Block of Text attrocities in this very subforum, I'm pretty laid back when it comes to posting styles. It's nothing personal, that's just how it struck me.
And with that, WoW: I agree that the shorter instances have been a huge boon for the game, even moreso now that I'm only finding playtime in short 1-2 hour sessions rather than marathoning entire weekends. As always, Blizzard has polished to a mirror sheen the never ending treadmill of grinding out gear, faction, achievements, little personal goal, specific items, etc. Having as many alts as I do will likely keep me busy just getting them to 80 and just running some heroics for baseline starter levelling epics (Cataclysm levelling, that is). A bit of crafting for upgrades where feasible (RNG can go fuck itself) and time/cost effective, and farming out a couple grand for that final epic flier and lo, a new expansion to jump into again.
They're definitely perfecting the art of having an overwhelming amount of things to do in game in reasonably managable bite sized chunks. Sure, not being in a raiding guild will put many things out of my grasp (or make them far harder to accomplish), but the parallel 10 man raiding situation ought to mean I can hopefully at least complete each 10 man once on my main, to see the content and perhaps enjoy a few perks from those endeavors. Making said main a tank/healer has already increased my freedom to participate in such adventures, and I remain hopeful for the next half year having plenty of awesome things to do/see/toy with.
Forar on
First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKER!
If tauren rogues are ever in the game, that name will be taken on every server.
Heck, maybe it is already for cat druids.
That reminded me to try out some possible worgen names and surprisingly my first try, Feral, was not taken. It's nothing special but I like my names short and simple.
Blizzard never refers to World of Warcraft as 'WoW'. The CMs on the forums do from time to time, but account reps never do.
Honestly I'm surprised this works on anyone. Taking a minute to really read through it, there are a ton of grammatical and professional errors littered throughout the email.
At first I am surprised it works, but then I look at the way people present themselves in trade and chat channels and figure if they can't spell correctly, they probably can't tell a real difference between the language of a professional email and a scammer.
Touché'.
So, race change eh? Launching a bit earlier than anticipated. I wonder if they will indeed allow people to swap races to Worgen and Goblins when the expansion hits? I'm guessing not right away, but I wonder how long they'll wait?
Like how the following is taken on nearly every server: Tauren hunter named Bullseye.
I dread to see all the Tauren Paladins that will either be named (so variant of) Moosader or Sirloin.
The competitor in me wants to change my warrior to an Orc, since I'm primarily DPS.
However, much like I've stuck with Fury even when it wasn't optimal, I'll probably stick with Tauren. Maybe all races will get a DPS racial of some sort, in cataclysm's racial revision.

I hope Blizz keeps calling the Tauren Paladin sect Sunwalkers, I've had that name on a lowbie shaman for like a year now. That will totally be awesome for my Tauren in Wrath. :^:

They do.
You just can't see them.
I cannot lime this enough.

Hurray, we might get it in Europe before Christmas.

I hated how buggy that last boss was.

These peeps probably won't realise you'll spend longer waiting for the transfer than it would take to run the instances.
There's certain...other...repuations...
Although not a lot of people would be able to take advantage of that...mostly just people doing insane, 40 reps or whatever.
Although I'd pay the $50 for the insane probably... But even I'm not that, well, insane.

I have Intervention saved.
Oh and WotF got nerfed. Shares a 45s cooldown with trinkets.
What I want to know is why they didn't add tier 8 pants, gloves and shoulders to the vendors. I want four set bonus on my alts.
T8/25
T8/.5
T8.25
T8-25 Man
Only the catchiest may survive.
No?
Unless if you mean just for the looks.
But that would be stupid.
