The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Directed by Joe Johnston. Starring Anthony Hopkins, Benicio del Toro, and Hugo Weaving. Score by Danny Elfman. Gene Simmons howling. A remake of the last great Universal monster movie.
This can't be good.
Del Toro was attached as early as 2006. It jumped directors a few times. They finished filming over a year ago, and it won't be out until next year. They got Rick Baker to do makeup, and he's publicly lamenting the heavy use of CG in the movie.
So, I guess I'll probably see this. And if they do a trailer for Clash of the Titans any time soon, I'll post that and shit all over it before seeing it as well.
I saw a trailer for this in theater and it looked pretty cool. The trailer in the OP looks significantly less cool. Hmm.. I just want something other than vampires and zombies so bad.
I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by
madness, starving hysterical naked,
dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn
looking for an angry fix,
angelheaded hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly
connection to the starry dynamo in the machin-
ery of night,
who poverty and tatters and hollow-eyed and high sat
up smoking in the supernatural darkness of
cold-water flats floating across the tops of cities
contemplating jazz,
who bared their brains to Heaven under the El and
saw Mohammedan angels staggering on tene-
ment roofs illuminated,
who passed through universities with radiant cool eyes
hallucinating Arkansas and Blake-light tragedy
among the scholars of war,
who were expelled from the academies for crazy &
publishing obscene odes on the windows of the
skull,
who cowered in unshaven rooms in underwear, burn-
ing their money in wastebaskets and listening
to the Terror through the wall,
who got busted in their pubic beards returning through
Laredo with a belt of marijuana for New York,
who ate fire in paint hotels or drank turpentine in
Paradise Alley, death, or purgatoried their
torsos night after night
with dreams, with drugs, with waking nightmares, al-
cohol and cock and endless balls

SteamID: Baroque And Roll
speaking of werewolves how is Dog soldiers? I saw that it was on sci-fi but didn't have time to watch it, but the premise seems cool.
Edited because I'm a dumbass and Bergy gave me the idea.
SteamID: Baroque And Roll
Anywho. I'll see it.
Man.
Why?
SteamID: Baroque And Roll
Seriously, this Christmas carol thing? Is there any reason to do it in 3D? NO!
Sorry. had to be done.

I've been trying to reach you, but your extension cord doesn't reach that far.
Sorry. Had to be done.

And now Twilight has come along and made them even worse.
What is the world coming to?
Who doesn't love a good furry trout?

We should have a Frenkenstein remake or something.
Oh, or maybe a new version of the Thing, I love The Thing.

Danny Elfman doing the soundtrack for this? sign me up
You are right
What am I thinking.
and I also have a blanket with wolfs on it
I am an honorary member of the wolf pack
this is the thread for me
I vote for the return of fish men.
No. Fuck you to hell. John Carpenter was a cocaine-fueled wizard in the 80s, and there's nobody now that can do what he did then.
I also really enjoyed Event Horizon.
They thought they were safe
They thought it had been destroyed

THE THINGS
Also Event Horizon is great. My favorite part is Fishburne's fire in zero grav story.
