Except this time a lot of people really will be basing their purchase on this demo. Because a lot of people are unsure about whether a year is enough time to make a full sequel.
Anyone who is complaining about not being able to play the demo right now has already purchased the full game. Those that were on the fence will have it in a week and this current delay will have no impact on their decision.

Yeah, it's not been great for PC gamers with release dates and steam recently.
i got really really excited when i saw a friend online in the L4D2 demo on 360...
then mad a sadface when i found out it's not actually out until nov 3rd.
now the battle rages in my mind about how badly i want this demo
Today my fucking internet got capped. It's bullshit, I definitely haven't downloaded 20GB this month.
Does your plan include your uploads? Because that would be where the other part of that cap went. If so, I would recommend changing plan.
Also, this is why I'm not grabbing the demo. That, and the fact that I've got exams coming up and if I got this demo my marks would plummet to the point of "OHMYGODWHATTHEF-"

Was just playing FlyGabe campaign (which is fantastic LaCabra) and had a lulz moment with the witch. She spawned in the apartment building (2nd map) just after the emergency door event... where there is the gap in the floor with a fire coming from the floor below. Except she spawned on the other side of the gap - so after a Molotov to her face I was greeted with the site of her running towards us, falling down the hole, running back up the stairs -> repeat x4 until flaming death over the edge. She didn't seem to be able to make the little gap around the edge through the hole in the wall.

Excuse me thread, but with the 4 pack of Left 4 Dead 2 - I only gifted 2 copies and had one spare over while I waited for him to sort his account out.
Now that spare copy is gone.
What have I done wrong? Has it moved? Am I looking in the wrong place? Is it just a random glitch? Do Steam gifts expire? Why has my friends money literally vanished into thin air?
Second copies would usually store in the "My Games" section right? *Twitch* I very much hope I haven't just 'lost' it. I've got no evidence to prove that I didn't gift it, meaning Valve's got no reason to believe me.
Am I crazy or is a larger city the last place you'd want to go in a zombie outbreak?
I thought the same thing during Zombieland.

I'm not sure about the time-frame here, but in the first game the infection appeared suddenly and swept quickly across the nation before anyone had time to react. The initial four mostly traversed urban environments because they had to. It might be the same for the new four.

I think it might come down to what your goal is in the zombie apocalypse. If you want to fortify somewhere with supplies, you want to get into the middle of nowhere, preferably a farm with petrol generators and a fair supply of food and some degree of sustainability. If you want to escape the whole country, the middle of nowhere isn't going to be high on any evacuation schedules.
