So there's this game...
It's called Killing Floor! Basically it's, as advertised, co-op survival horror based on some sort of engine, and right now, Valve is doing a free weekend, so you can pick it up, as suggested, for free! The game-play is wave-based, with increasingly-hard rounds of undead hordes coming after you and your bros, but all is not lost! Between rounds you're allowed to visit the Shop, run by a cheerful cockney lady, and purchase more stuff! Stuff like fire-axes and shiny new guns, with which to pop heads and festoon rooms with blown-out guts! Teamwork is essential, as you don't want to be caught in a corner with only a machete and an empty pistol separating you from a slavering undead horde!

how well does it actually play, i didn't enjoy L4D that much
Except that there's a Boomer like character called the Bloat.
But other than that. Different game entirely. Its actually enjoyable.
You fight wave after wave of Zombies, with breaks in between to upgrade weaponry (based on their Perks system)
Then if your squad survives all the waves you get into a boss fight that's pretty intense.
Guys who die respawn at the end of each wave.
I really liked the idea behind it and I can't afford borderlands for my coop fix

The weapons in L4D don't suck. They're just a limited variety in comparison.

I played some Borderlands on my buddies 360 yesterday and it was ostensibly incredibly awesome
But the RPG elements are so light and there's only one car, plus the shooting feels more like a quake game with ironsights and critical hits tacked on
I only dicked around with Roland for about 30 minutes though
so stop downloading it
