Xbox 360 DVI - Does it exist? (choosing the best method for my TV)

I've got a Westinghouse 47" LCD TV, which has like every video input ever. My 360 is one of the older ones without HDMI output. Right now I've got it hooked up via VGA with an official cable but the colors are always intensely whited out unless I fiddle with the 'Reference Levels' option every time I boot the thing.

I'm running the setup at 1920x1080 (1080p), and I just wonder if there is a DVI solution for the 360 or if maybe I should step back to the component cables or what. I can't seem to find a happy medium here. Any advice guys?

Looks like you're SOL if you want a Microsoft solution. Not really a common issue it would seem. Unless you find some third party that made such a cable, you'll need to find a VGA-to-DVI converter or just switch to component if they don't have the 'white out' problem.
    17. Does the Xbox 360 support DVI or HDMI?

At the moment, Microsoft does not plan to offer a DVI or HDMI pack, but it may be available in the future.

    19. Is there any way to play Xbox 360 games through a large HD screen (Apple) which only has a DVI connector? I heard Microsoft may release a DVI cable. Will this be ready for launch?

Since there is no Xbox 360 cable with DVI or HDMI output, you’ll need a VGA to DVI adapter if you want to connect via a DVI input.

I thought HDMI was the same as DVI (just different connectors) so wouldn't an HDMI to DVI cable work?

Yeah, this'd work (if you ran the sound out through other cables) but he said in the OP that his xbox doesn't do HDMI out.

So basically the only option is component.

before I had a 360 that had HDMI I ran the component cables to my 1080p TV and it looked just fine.

so that's probably your best bet.

a 1080p tv can take a 1080i signal and make it look almost as good as a native 1080p signal.

    Worth trying.
