Also I've never heard The Damned but I know that Anthony Kiedis is a huge fan so they're probably pretty good.
Cloudeagle: Go to both? What? Have you never participated in Black Friday? If Old Navy opens at 3 AM and I go there, I get LRB for $30 off (definitely pretty sweet). However, at the Best Buy about a mile down the street, a huge line that wraps around the back of the (HUGE) plaza has already formed by about 3 AM. I'll have to look at Best Buy's ad this year. But pretty much the way it is, you have to stick to your guns with which store has the best deals for you and get there early, because while, let's say, Circuit City (R.I.P.) may have some cool things I want, they're going to be absolutely gone by the time I get there after Best Buy.
....you're actually a woman, aren't you? That would explain a lot.
Found out the answer to the Old Navy LRB deal - they will have 50 wristbands, different color for each platform (XB360, Wii, PS3) the first 50 in line will choose a platform wristband, so you may not get a choice of your preferred console...
Hell, even if I don't get one for XB360, figure I could sell it on eBay for money on another one ...
Looks like you'll have to be right there early in line, so fuck that.
That's pretty ridiculous. I guess if you wanted a PS3 or Wii version you might be in luck though =3

Wh-what?
And thanks for the info, Lunker; the Black Friday ad for Best Buy isn't out yet, but honestly with this giant clusterfuck of games coming out this month (I'm about to go throw down $160 at GameStop today, eep), I probably won't have a lot of spare cash to clean up on a bunch of cheap DVD/Blu-rays like I usually do at Best Buy.
Now, I wonder what time a line would start forming at Old Navy...think I'll just hang around the general area in Daytona Beach until I see a couple people lined up.
I'm giving up on my RB drums. Order for an Ion kit placed.
Here's where you all come in. My three lovely Goodwood pads (and the one broken one) need a new home. I'm scrapping the rest of the kit, but I don't want to let these quality fake plastic drumheads go to waste. Anyone interested in taking them off my hands? PM me with a request and I will draw names out of a hat tomorrow evening.
The lucky winner will receive the four pads and support foam, fully shipped at no cost to themselves, as well as the support struts that came with the purchase. You won't have any warranty, and you'll have to look into buying a new head to replace the broken one, but I assure you the other three will be well worth the cost of free. These will work with any RB drum kit (though RB1 EL kits sometimes don't play well with them).
One final reminder for any late entries. Will hold drawing in approximately an hour.
So I decide I'm going to take advantage of Fry's sale price for LRB whilst I actually have some money on hand. I figure I'll leave it wrapped and if things sort of work themselves out, I can open it later. (If not, just return it for a refund.) I do this thinking they may not continue the sale priced through next week.
They did... There's an irony there, I'm sure of it. Though I'm still not opening it until things have definitely sorted out.
I think I played it in the volcano (helicopter 2, I think?)...
Going through the lego endless setlist right now. It's 30 random songs (from any source), with a completion bonus of 100x fans, 100x money. Much better setup than the prior rock bands, for sure.
Will update later on whether you get different instrument colors for finishing it.

I just finished the 15song challenge a moment ago. I got something like 254,000,000 fans from it.

That's pretty cool. I wonder if RB3's ES will do something similar.
Speaking of set lists, I wouldn't mind a "Grab Bag" list of X number of DLC tracks that I haven't played yet at various venues.
I random'd a bunch of the really hard Texas Flood songs (ended up getting both Rude Mood and Testify), as well as both of the Mission of Burma songs (which are also hard for me to get a good score on). Total stars 142/150.

770/1000 achievement points. stuff left to do is the vocal stuff, completing almost everything in career mode, 100%ing the final countdown solo, and the 4-player achievements. no online multiplayer will make the last ones a bit of a challenge.
Turns out fans cap out at a billion. ES unlocks are Dora Sullivan and a Stop Sign.
One of the 4-player achievements is just to beat a song. I can probably do that just by myself. The other one is to 100% a song with 4-players. I might be able to cheese that out with three local players and lowered difficulty. Final Countdown 100% solo will probably be the one achievement I can't get.
One thing I've noticed about LRB... unlike Rock Band and RB2, it doesn't list songs by overall difficulty. Instead, it seems to create different difficulty charts based on the instruments you're playing. For example, the first tier is all 0 rank on guitar, the second is 1 rank, etc. I like that.
On the other hand, mystery setlists aren't broken up by tiers as they were in RB2. I was playing the second stage (construction site), and got hit by Texas Flood.

Yeah, my first random song was foreplay/longtime. Haven't done one since, except the big 15song set.
I was also a bit disappointed that the post-pause countdown didn't transfer over from beatles.
It does strike me as a little weird that Neversoft has been doing it since GHWT though and Harmonix didn't put it in RB2, seeing as Harmonix came up with it.
After the warm reception it got in BRB (and in GH before that), I couldn't see them not entertaining the idea of patching it in unless it simply couldn't be done with their current software.

It doesn't bug me, really, since I'm using the Beatles Instruments that have the delayed pause/guide buttons anyway, just thought it was peculiar.

PS3 Trophies
http://www.altpress.com/news/8150.htm
AFI Track Pack
-Love Like Winter
-The Leaving Song Pt II
-Beautiful Thieves
-End Transmission
-Medicate
Apparently the first go-round didn't smash it up enough.
The original was made up of two Parts. Getting just Part II is like getting We Are the Champions without We Will Rock You.
White Wedding Part I, apparently the first wedding wasn't white enough.
Get Up (I'm Like a Sex Machine) Part I, apparently not everyone got up the first time around.
Not really a rip off, more like a staggeringly poor choice. Practically half the awesome is the melodic lead-in to the ensuing rampage...so to speak.
I concur.
I heard it actually got kinda blue towards the end of it.
PS3 Trophies
but seriously, part 2 is crap

I 5/Gold starred all but 2 songs.

Wow, this may be the first time I've won a raffle in anything.
Thanks a million! Can't wait to use these for about five minutes before giving in and shelling out for a fourth pad!

Hell I can do that just about any time.

Fail, HMX. Fail. It sucks for the AC/DC pack...
Work the drums with your arms, strum the guitar and bass with your feet, and sing the song!

The Beatles: Rock Band does not.
This is why no countdown timer.
