If this DLC was just more inventory space then I would be wary of purchasing it. Since it is adding more talents and quests it could be worthwhile. I wont buy it right away but if this game is great I could see myself forking over 7 bucks for more goodness.
Just attempted Revenant (not really a spoiler in here - I want you all to be surprised when the anal rape happens). . .
First try on Hard. Didn't get him lower than 10% health. Immune to Winters Grasp which means he's immune to my mages main form of Crowd Control. Raped again. Try it on Normal. Get him down to 25%. . .at this point we're 10 minutes into the fight and we've run out of Health and Mana Pots. We go down. Try one more time on Easy and I successfully. . .got murdered again.

Sooooooo, i will be starting this on easy then. Are there any changes/lame restrictions with easy... ie annoying popups, getting name changed to wuss, not unlocking items? Or is it just proportionally easier?

You'll know. You'll always know.
And now we'll know too.
So? Its not like you wont all do the same thing once you get raped via difficulty.
Dont get all high and mighty on me now, pretending you played Ninja Gaiden on Hard all the way through the first time you ever played it. Dont tell me you can make it past the 5th difficulty of civ 4 the first time you play it.
They are probably going to ship it tomarrow, which means I'll get it around friday. Which means I am a furious angry cleft.
I think we all know that this means that you need to...
cancel your preorder!
Then you can prepurchase it on steam, or go to a store and buy it. I cancelled my newegg preorder and the steam preload is now on my computer, waiting to be unlocked.

It's easier and easy is the only setting in which there is no friendly fire.
If I have this preloaded on Steam, will I be able to play it at midnight (or shortly thereafter if there's extra stuff to download)?
I'm pretty sure its noon PST tomorrow.
Vampires just can't catch a break.
And I hope there's a mildly cheesy alternative rock song at the end credits, just like with Mass Effect. Easily my favorite part of the game. But then I didn't like the game, so... it would still be awesome.
I feel so happy to see people say they're getting stomped into the ground by this.
Mages getting killed by level one house cats and all.
Them's the roots.
I remember running away from the first few fights in BG1 as a mage because I had NO chance. The first few levels were painful. I need that type of challenge again.

I've played the game so far on Hard. Hard is hard. You are not running headfirst into fights. You are prepositioning units and making sure you don't have any wonky Tactics set ("Damnit no don't shield bash the guy! He's already dead. . .Wasted!). You are actively scanning the field looking for any mobs who are about to make a beeline for your caster or ranged dps. And even then - victory is not garaunteed. Enemies will run, dragging you within range of their archers. Alpha's will get wise and chase down that uber-healing mage hiding in the back. And push comes to shove, they'll just focus fire on the weakest link and burn you down before you can recover.
So naw, I feel no shame in dialing down the difficulty to beat that guy - there was no way I was getting out of there otherwise. No penalty, still dropped phat loot, and we all feel good about ourselves (cause he still almost killed us).

Somewhere on planet earth, civ Lincoln is aiming a nuke at you, and he already has fallout shelters.
Wow...I hadn't really been interested in this game at all, but I saw it was coming out tomorrow, decided to check out the OP. Proceeded to watch the origin videos and...holy crap...this is the game I have been waiting for. I only hope it maintains that level of storytelling and cinematronics, I need this game. Then after reading all about the difficulty issues everyone has been having, I decided to order the Deluxe Edition. I'm such a consumer whore...but....it looks sooooooooooo good.

I fondly recall my first outing into Chateau Irenicus.

Actually, Civ is always lowest difficulty for me. Every other game? Highest every time. I played Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 4 grimly determined to beat Veteran the first time through no matter how stupid and joyless it was. Because I'm not a very smart person.

I play Civ and Dynasty Warriors (and equivalent) on the lowest difficulties.
Civ because I suck at it. Dynasty Warriors because it is super fun to just charge headfirst into 100+ enemies and just button mash until they all fly away dead.
People with the game already, can you access the blood dragon armor set? If so what is their stats?
Only a few pieces of DLC are available. Haven't tried Warden or Stone, but they are listed. Theres already WAY too much to do without adding those guys on.
Sorry if you've all thoroughly digested the character creator already, but I'm working on making my guy for tomorrow, and I've got a question. The preset faces with beards all have normal looking cheeks, but if I change anything they automatically go to the lowest cheek setting. It looks weird. Is there a way to circumvent that?

Not that anyone knows. Everyone that wants a large, bearded man with toned muscles and enough manliness that the musk radiates off of him is hoping that's fixed in the release version.
I will have so much shit unlocked when Dragon Age comes tomorrow
* Memory Band (everyone who preorders gets this)
* Blood Dragon Armor (everyone who preorders gets this)
* Lion's Paw boots (Amazon preorder bonus)
* Embri's Many Pockets (Dragon Age Journeys unlock)
* Amulet of the War Mage (Dragon Age Journeys unlock)
* The Lucky Stone (Character Creator unlock)

After you got the face the way you liked. Save him (this is my recommendation in case you mess up the next step).
Once you got him looking the way you want and are going to add a beard. Make sure you select precisely on the slider or else it will make the cheeks gaunts (etc.)
In other words you can only put on a beard once without it changing how you look. So if you move from goatee to sideburns it will change.
Changing hair color or anything of that sort will also set off the gaunt thing. This after adding the beard.
I remember reading that if you set your cheeks and things first and then click, not drag, the beard slider to where you want it, the cheeks stay the same.
I don't know if that's true because I kind of think the beards all look horrible, so I don't use them. But I do remember reading that.

You filthy book pirate. You're what's killing the book market!

Not the whole poem. Prepare to be knocked out of your chair. Also some choice haikus there.
