It's awesome but you shouldn't have wasted it on the Veyron. I guess it won't be too hard to adapt it to other cars though.
Thanks guys. I don't understand all this hatred for the Veyron, though. I think the car's badass. It's like a goddamn guided missile. Then, I also have a bit of a soft spot for the Bugatti name.
I uploaded one of our 2v2 games of car soccer from today. You can find it on the storefront by searching 'soccer' ...only two replays show up and only one is called car soccer. It was a lot of fun. Also I love tag. Thanks for the awesome games everybody.
I had a not-good time in the hour of so worth of online play I participated in tonight, even though it was with (mostly) friends. I'm not sure what it was- I think a combination of horrible luck (I didn't even get to finish a race until the fourth one I ran), the tendency for one or more players to knock me the fuck off the track at the worst times, and the fact that by the time I was getting acclimated everyone jumped to R-class cars. I have had almost no experience driving the R-class cars with a wheel and once I got knocked off the track I wound up doing horrible unfun nightmarish donuts in a feeble attempt to get myself reoriented back on the tarmac, even if I feathered the throttle with what I thought was a cautious touch. It's weird how much I've played this game so far and how much ass I've kicked in the career, and yet I actually am fifteen kinds of terrible online.

I notice a general trend of needing S class or higher cars while playing online. Pretty much everyone just buys the best parts on every car and just goes to town.

It's harder to, but not impossible to, PIT someone if they have stability control. I'm sure there are also other reasons to want stability control disabled, but when people complain until the host disables it, it makes me wonder what their intentions are. Are they truly planning on racing fair, or do they plan on bumping people out of their way instead of racing them?

I did another big paintjob. This one's from Formula Drift, which means someone else has probably already done it, but mine's clearly better, or something.
In all seriousness I did see someone else with one but it was using the built-in fonts for the lead sponsor and the built-in manufacturer decals instead of the ones actually on the car, etc. etc. Like my previous paint job, this one is not half-assed.
This one took me way less time to make, partly because it has fewer sponsor decals but mostly because I'm getting better at this thing. That's good, it means I can actually play the racing part of the game tomorrow.
I'm selling it for 9,000, because it was easier than the last one.

Veevee definitely emerged as my arch-nemesis in those races. I think we finished 1st/2nd 4 or 5 times. With me in second in all but one.
yeah
that A class fujimi kaido race we did, i was waaaaaaaayyy out in front like the whole race, then i screwed up late and hit a wall a bit hard, screwing up my driveshaft juust enough to let veevee beat me by half a car length at the finish lol

I like to have Stability and Traction Control turned off because those two act as a great equalizer for high power cars. When I race a muscle car I will slide all over the place from hitting the gas too hard, but with those assists turned on I can slam the gas without a worry and the backend will stay mostly in place.
I will never knowingly race with those two assists on simply because they make the game too easy for me, and I don't care if people around me have them turned on. I will see someone as less of a driver if they keep running high power cars with those assists on, but I wont hold it against them. Unless they consistently win with the assists and consistently get last with them off, then they need to learn to drive a car better for them.

it was a good race at the end lol
Yeah that was a good ending to a good race. I spent most of it trying to catch you and little by little I did until I asked politely for you to crash and suddenly you did!
So, I decided to put together a photo sequence based on the 3v3 Car Soccer game we played, which VeeVee was kind enough to send me the replay of after I forgot to save it. I will upload that replay as well in a little bit.
Here is the first image, hopefully you will be interested enough to view the rest of the spoiler.
Orange team gets into position for kickoff.
Orange gets off to an early lead as VeeVee scores. Black nearly intercepts but it is just too late, the ball has too much momentum.
Orange scores another point, this time by punting the ball over the defenders and into the goal.
Orange goes to kickoff after black scores a point.
Complete destruction as players collide on the ball.
Same instance, different angle.
More chaos as black tries to force their way through orange defenders.
After a strong hit an orange player ends up out of action for a short time.
The ball (rabbit) swirling out of control after the hit.
VeeVee manages to push one more goal in against 3 defenders to win the game.
Way back when sierra did this really amazing racing sim series. There was a Nascar game, and Indycar game, etc. Well, guess what I figured out how to do. The ai really liked to draft in big lines, so I would start in last place, and PIT all 37 other cars in the race to win every time. It was glorious.

That's the free Windows Media Encoder from Microsoft.
When you start it up, the New Session box pops up by default. Click "Convert a file", then OK. Select your input file (the .wmv you downloaded from forzamotorsport.net) and change the default output file if you wish - it defaults to the input file with "-1" tacked on the end of the filename. Hit Next. Make sure the option on the next screen is set to "File download (computer playback)". Hit Next again, then Finish. The output file will work with YouTube.
I recommend getting the 360 to output a 360p file rather than 720p, just to reduce the lengthy encoding time and ultimately the filesize. Since it's being encoded again and then being crunched by YouTube, there's little point shooting for the stars with HD video. Also remember forzamotorsport.net will remove your movie after 24 hours, so upload it and grab it.
Note: at the standard settings the Encoder will output a 720p file regardless of the input resolution. Don't worry, it's actually not very big filesize-wise. This saves messing with the aspect ratio, as it will then output a 16:9 file. If you drop the Encoder to 480p it'll spit out a squashed 4:3 file. Really, the Encoder can basically be left on its default settings and it'll work.
I've done all my Forza vids this way and will continue to do so. Output quality's remarkably good, actually. http://www.youtube.com/user/JazzMX5 (I recommend the Veyron cartwheel video ;-) )
I know this is a few pages old, but this really ought to be in the OP.

Especially since it worked!
I thought this was pretty cool. Last race of the R3 World Championship. Best drift I've yet to pull off with a car that isn't really...supposed to drift.
It's awesome but you shouldn't have wasted it on the Veyron. I guess it won't be too hard to adapt it to other cars though.

I wish they'd put the EB110 in the game. that car so much.
I'm not sure how a car can be so hideously ugly and exquisitely beautiful at the same time. But I love it. Especially the witch-doctor's-mask headlights.

so, after getting pissed at M. Rossi (that guy is a DICK) for cutting me off, and trying to PIT me in r2 races, i experimented with different ways to fuse his car into the dividing wall between the track and the beginning of the pit (using the rewind feature)
it seems that inf you slam them into the wall a few times in a row, you will cause them to crack under the pressure of your hate when you rewind again and mess up all by themselves
TL;DR:
apparently, you can force the AI to screw up by abusing the rewind feature

Yeah, M.Rossi is definitely a cock. That bastard has had it in for me since Forza 2. I have dreams of going all GTA on his ass and sticking a .357 out the window.
I got a good whack on Rossi last night. AI car got stuck somehow after a wreck (looking at his telemetry in the replay, his entire car was 100% damaged) and so I decided to see if I could get Rossi to wipe out. I'd say it worked well.. he ended up finishing 7th.
Figured I'd never ever get the opportunity again.. so I knew I had to take it.
It also shows how fucking awesome the AI in this game can be.. you can tell when Rossi sees the obstacle, and tries to cut to the inside of the track to avoid it. When I continue to block him, he presses up against the wall and hopes to squeak by. Doesn't work this time, but you have to admire the thought process.

Regarding Car Football how exactly did you set that up? I take it one player has to be the "ball" and the hanger doors are the goals, but which layout on Benchmark is the best?

Use layout B. One player has to be the ball yes. In that 3v3 game I was the ball. It would be nice if we could do splitscreen online so someone could just throw up a guest as the ball, but no luck there.

And everyone on the same team should all have the same color car as well. And if you score a goal you take a lap, first team to finish wins.

and i want it to be an R2 car
preferably [R2|900]
but which one?
I don't know about stock R2's, but I would submit that the Lamborghini Reventon most closely resembles the "tumbler" from the new movies.
i guess i could try the Koenigsegg CCGT as more of a 90's ish batmoble...
