So, I don't know whether to feel bad that the best no-assists clean lap in the Nurburgring trial with the R10 I can get has been 8:20, or good that I actually managed to get a clean lap on the Nurburgring with the R10 and no asssists.

So when I bought this on Amazon last month apparently there was a bonus where you also get a code for the Hot Holiday Car Pack. I immediately forgot about it. Then Saturday I get an email saying "HERES YOUR CODE FOR THE HOT HOLIDAY CAR PACK!". I was like 'Sweet free DLC!"....but the mail didnt have a code anywhere. I quickly forget about it.
then today I finally get an email with "Update: Due to an oversight, the Hot Holiday Car pack code was not included in the original mail. This mail now includes both the code and instructions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused." and the actual code.
Haha no I do not. But I tried to make my video game mecca as classy as possible anyways.
I mostly impressed by the amount of space you have there. Square footage is not cheap in this town. I think your gaming area is as big as my condo and I share mine with a wife and dog. But yeah the setup is solid as well. Thumbs up!
I think I've made about 20,000 credits from the storefront. It hasn't been all that useful for me.
I made somewhere around 60,000 credits since launch, but I don't put much effort into it, I just toss random stuff up there and see what sticks. Strangely enough, my blank Michigan license plate seems the most popular by far.
So, someone pointed this out and I think it's hilarious - the Nurburgring GP track configuration in game isn't actually the real Nurburgring GP grand prix course - the chicane at the end goes the other direction.

They skipped the chicane because it has always been a huge source of exploits in every racing game in history. Instead of driving the chicane.. people gun it head on and jump right over the top of it.

They could have just put up a tire wall though, like they already did on the other side.
Well that's good to hear. It's cool that most of the cars on FM3 are fun to drive, unlike some of the more expensive ones on FM2. Still though, 15 mil is a lot to save up.
i would never spend that much on a fake car in game again (or a real one)
the fact that i could, and couldnt really think of another way to spend all that money were the main reasons i did it
I may be odd, but I don't like having 100's of cars in my personal garage that i have to cycle through

It makes me slightly depressed that I'll never have enough CR to buy something even remotely that expensive. Hell, I'll never even be able to afford the Shelby Cobra, let alone something that costs 10x as much. My paint jobs have sold fairly well on the storefront, but nowhere near enough to make millions of credits.
I really have to question the logic behind even putting that kind of price tag on a car in a game. Then again, ever since the series was created, they've basically been saying "If you're not a master painter, we don't want you to have as much fun with our game as those that are."
You can get the money by doing endurance races and hiring drivers.. it takes some time, but it's the sort of grinding you can do while cleaning the house or whatever.
I think it's kind of cool they put some retardedly expensive cars in, just for the "jesus you spent money on that?" effect.
I still want to do a "millionaire's club" race - except it may actually be like 200,000 cr+ cars in reality. I need to take another look at the expensive cars to see whats what.

It goes down rapidly from there. There's only 16 cars in the game that cost more than 200,000, out of a total of 439 cars.
edit - uh, I just realized I was missing that those cars have five zeroes, not four. So everything I said is complete crap, there are lots and lots of cars selling for over a million credits.
Basticle, you really should put your stuff upon the storefront. i made WAY more CR that way than i did racing
tag it with "penarc" so we can dl it
all of my liveries incorporate decal groups I got off the storefront (pretty much all of the manufacturer logos and such) so would it even let me do that?

yikes
yeah, they wont let you sell stuff with other's decals on it
i usually end up "tracing" sponsor decals if i feel like i can't make it myself, then i tweak it from there if i want a new color or something
check it out! a livery that is completely useless to anyone other than dumb people like me that spent 15M on one car!
reference:
its up on the storefront (search penarc, mach, or speed racer), and the funny part is somebody bought one like 5 minutes after i put it up

Anyone here race in an online league or know of a good north american one? I've found a pretty decent euro one but they race on euro time, which can be a pain. Looking for one with good drivers who force off all the assists.
This is the Honda NSX that won the GT2 class in the 1995 24 Hours at Le Mans.
It was also featured in the original Gran Turismo as the "NSX-R LM GT2 Edition"
I was kind of pissed that there are no body modifcations available except the spoilers. I purposefully used the '92 but none of the Honda models have any side skirt mods to make it look more like the original which is annoying.
So, I've made a paintjob/vinyl for my Vanquish, but I can't put it on my storefront to share with my friends. It says that it is "locked" and won't allow me to upload it.

Dude. Sweet.
If my game room looked as classy as that I wouldn't have to panic whenever a new girl comes over!
edit:
maybe sell the 360 wheel you have, get a second job and stop eating for a few weeks and then buy the fanatec :P

so yay
I know everyone is complaining about not having the Behemoth, but whatever, this track is really like nothing else in the game and pretty fun.
Now they just need a big, sweepy track like Zandvoort. What I'd really like to see though is all 5 configurations of VIR.

this is gotta be the most aggravating livery I've done yet, the decal editor seems to hate large curved areas like this
tag it with "penarc" so we can dl it

ive been saving since launch, and just bought a 15,000,000 Ferrari TR
*shrug*

Or speed trap sand/bumps, whatever.
After that Mazda won at Daytona 24, I think I made like 300,000 in a week.
finally got that ferrari huh? good work
it is really fun to drive with the v12 p2's engine swapped in
hell, its fun to drive period

Overall I think i spent around 6 hours on it.
My save is gone again for like the fourth fucking time now.
And this is the only game it happens with.
My disc has to be cursed or something, I'm telling you, there's dark magic at work here.
Guess I'll check the official forums for a solution.
What do I need to do here?
