So i can't host games it seems, tried opening ports and shit but nothing seems to work. Only about 25% of the people i know who are playing can host games people can connect to. This seems like a pretty big issue.. anyone else having this problem? Or have found non-port opening ways of getting things to work?
I'm torn, I have this sniper rifle I've been using for 3 levels:
Which has a nice rate of fire and a quick clip reload instead of the revolver one
But I just got an orange one which is pretty much the same except 50 more damage a shot and the pele modifier which means every single bullet is on fire in exchange for only a 6 clip and the slowish revolver reload sequence

In my experience, Liquid Wrath guns are absolutely delicious and should be kept until a new liquid wrath comes along.

I finished this game tonight. The ending was rather anticlimactic.
It seemed like all the loot we found consisted of bad ass sniper rifles, leaving me, a soldier, without any great weapons to use.
I've also been thinking about about how they say that the days are 90 hours long on the planet Borderlands is set in. Am I the only one that thinks that the gravity is too high for this to be true?
Also, the Soldier consistently misuses military phrases and terms. I know I'm nitpicking here, but still...

Volcano all the way. I dont care how good of a gun you had, blowing things up EVERY SINGLE TIME is amazing. I have found 4 Volcanos, one at 25, 34, 43, and 48. Each one of them was my pride and joy untill I found the next one. They are all amazing, each and every one of them.

Spiderants yes, but the Rakks actually won't attack you unless you attack them. Except at the "exit", then there are three that always attack me, but the rest never did.

Digging around i have found out what ports to forward and to which of your ips to forward them to. Got it to work.
Your address will be the IP assigned to your computer, easiest way to find this is also with ipconfig in the command prompt. It would be your IPv4 Address.
(i was forwarding my shit to the wrong ip address so make sure your forwarding your ports to your IPv4 Address.)
Do this Port Range Forwarding.

Your level vs the target also affects damage, as does your gun proficiency. 4x Fire just means 4x the likelihood of the elemental effect.

Hey Antihippy I have a lvl 25 pistol and lvl 25 smg that are both amazing if you want them.
Edit: Gamespy name is Ajaxalot not sure if your on pc though.
Also whoever recommended rushing through the story on the 2nd playthrough so that you would have almost a 3rd playthrough by doing sidequests at 50 and all the enemys are 50 is a genius.
Also the names just keep on getting better as you level up. "Apeshit Stunted Lunatic" ROFL

Also just got the quest in new haven to destroy the three gunboats named after Jules' speech in Pulp Fiction (Righteous Man, Furious Anger, Brother's Keeper.
Honestly though, if they came up with a different name we're still going to make fun of them.
They can never win!

Given how everything else is named in this game, I think the Devs knew full well what they were doing. I doubt they thought they were clever. I think they knew it was clichéd and that was why they named it Pandora.

i played in other people's games ALOT
and leveled way past where my quests are at, all of them are 'trivial' difficulty now
and now solo mode sucks dick
Got the four pack with some friends last night. Unfortunately it didn't finish downloading until the middle of the night. I'm stuck at work and unable to play it yet.
I did the same thing today Local H, and while most of the "catch-up" trivial missions were easy as hell, there were a few WOAHS that came and kicked my ass. One such case was Mad Mel. Asshole kept getting lucky kills on me.
Speaking of which, there really needs to be a storage box of some sort to hold your crap. I hate giving up inventory slots to hold stuff that's not for my class, but I don't wanna be a dick and just vendor anything I can't use.
I'm still having terrible luck with shields and guns, but I just managed to find a class mod that gives me +10 Team Ammo Regen. For some guns that regenerates faster than I can shoot them.
I noticed that pistol talents seemed to lends towards the idea of firing a LOT, but I had trouble seeing why that would be any different than just using an accurate SMG.
So while my original plan was a gunslinger-spec mordecai, I think I'll be going more towards sniper, with some hawk talents because hawk is good times.

I have a sniper which says only 104/(or 140?) damage, yet everything which I shoot (shooting peeps at lvl 22-24) explodes into flames everytime.
Maybe because it has 4xfire?

Sure, so the damage is only 123 with a 16 round clip.
But scoped, I pull the trigger once and all 16 empty in about 2 seconds.
And there is little bullet spread. The sight hardly jumps eaither.
I enjoy putting about 4500 noncrit damage out on a Badmutha every three seconds.
