I keep forgetting that pistol talents affect revolvers too, and revolvers are a lot of fun if you can find a good one. I have a decent one that a fellow PAer gave me, but it needs to reload every two shots, and doesn't have a high enough accuracy for such a small clip size. My new sniper rifle on the other hand, is a beast even with only a 3 shot clip. when most player's regular hits are 300-500 and you're critting for 2000-4000, it's satisfyingly good fun.
Edit, also, I've just finished a 15 hour first day borderlanding marathon. Got my hunter up to level 25, almost 26, and he's in new haven about halfway through the side missions in that area. I picked up a few sweet class mods, one that boosts drop rates for the entire team, and one that boosts team accuracy and critical hit damage. I am now properly credit to team. That said, if anyone wants to play in, I dunno, let's say 10 hours (I like sleeping), my gamespy ID is KSerge83.
Also, I have a soldier artifact if any soldiers out there want it.
Seriously, going to bed now.

I've still got the Explosive Revolver I found a while ago, and it still kicks ass.
I keep at least one repeater hanging around in case all my other ammo runs dry, but I keep at least one revolver hanging around for when I need to be awesome.

It's funny that my Sniper rifle, aimed at centre mass on a motionless enemy and with points into reducing sway, will miss the target, but my Revolver's aim is almost always fair and true. I think I may need a better sniper rifle.

"The Dave" (or Dove, SDTV can't make it out) is my emergency weapon. I never use repeaters at all, but it is handy to have a weapon that has straight up unlimited ammunition and never needs reloading. :P

So I got a sweeeeeeeet SMG last night for my siren (Sweet in level 10 terms) and when you zoom it has this green box in the upper right hand corner. That doesn't seem to do anything, even when enemies are around. What does it do?

Its Dove and yeah its good to have unlimited ammo. Oh wait, I'm rolling Roland with Ammo Regen. Honestly though, it kinda gets a bit boring with constant ammo drops that I have no need for. :?

Yeah, there have only be a small handful of instances where I have completely run out of ammo. Skagzilla was one (melee'd the last 1/8th of his health) and the last boss was another time I remember, but I had The Dove to get me through that.
I hope the first DLC drops soon-ish. I am quite eager to give Gearbox more of my money.

My sniper rifle with the exact same zoom equivalent as my assault rifle will sway more pre-shot than the assault rifle, has like 10x the kick.
So I'd like to mention again, just how amazing brick is. Honestly, if you haven't tried his berserker attack yet. GO DO IT NOW.
At higher levels it's so effective, almost to the point of being overpowered. In last night's game (4 players), at level 29-30ish I could take out 2-3 badasses single handedly with a well timed berserker rush. It also opens things up for the other players since you tend to get all the attention, they're able to fire unmolested. It's really so much fun.
I tried using the tweak mentioned earlier in the thread using nhancer to turn on anti-aliasing and it worked but as a result the game started running at an unplayable FPS so I uninstalled it and restarted my computer and the anti-aliasing was definitely gone as expected but now the game still runs like shit.
It used to run perfectly until I tried this anyone have any idea what I may be missing in getting the game back to normal?

Ever since there was an idiot in wow who wanted to fight a paladin boss as a paladin (in vent he kept saying "Paladin vs paladin guys don't interfere") Anytime I fight an enemy like myself I always say in a tard voice "Paladin vs paladin."
So, umm, Phoenix draws serious aggro. A buddy and I were fighting a pretty big swarm of spiderants. We kill a few and then I have the bright idea of sprinting through the swarm and attacking from the other side. So I run through and turn around, expecting to see exposed abdomen. Instead, there are almost a dozen ants on my ass, all of them on fire.
I got my hands on my first Revolver last night as well.
Mother of God, the thing does more damage than my sniper rifle on crits.

I want to keep four rocket launchers on me at all times.
Because while other guns may out DPS a rocket launcher
Nothing out-cools a rocket launcher (especially with liquidate. Does that have a cooldown on it like Roland's ability? Because I'm thinking that + a MIRV would mean nearly infinite rage)
I'm only at lv 15 atm so this might seem more awesome at my level than higher levels but I found a green revolver that does 35 damage... times 7. 87.5 accuracy means most shots down the sights and even shooting from the hip lead to boom! headshot crits most of the time on normal bandits. I love revolvers.
Also it was a few pages ago what was someone saying about the "Bad PC UI" when they where saying that jump and targetting are the same button? Where they referring to the lock on in the buggy? Cause i'm pretty sure i've never targetted anything by hitting space bar instead of moving my mouse over them

It's great, eventually I got to the point where I just wasn't afraid to use it anymore. I forget the name of the boss, but it's near the end of the game:
We were going into the ECHO base, I can't remember if it was right before or right after that chick betrays us, but there are 3 huge guys in a fairly large room. Two of them are like body guards, and the third is a named boss who had an alien energy rifle. They pinned us down and we hadn't really done much damage to them when I just declared 'alright, time to end this.' I raged, ran in and punched ALL THREE OF THEM to death. It was epic.
Honestly, I'm pretty sure that the listed damage on weapons doesn't really tell you much about the weapon. I've found that a 100 no multiplier damage weapon is sometimes better than a 38X7 weapon. Maybe because of the way armor is calculated? Or maybe just because Gearbox is a little crazy and their code isn't reliable. Either way, if a gun looks promising I usually have to find a target to test it on, swapping between my current weapon and the tested weapon to see which seems to be more effective.

I'm debating switching to Gun Brick because hot damn do I need more rockets to regenerate
But I might ditch that idea and start pumping hella points into the tank tree. I also don't have Blood Sport so I can put more points in more trees.
So has anyone figured out what to do about the whole quest discrepancy?
As in...we've got a group of about 7 or 8 people who play, but everyone ends up being on different plot quests due to single player play when people are gone or what have you. Is the only real solution to have the person furthest behind host the game so it's in their game world?
We ran into this problem a lot in Titan Quest...it pretty much boiled down to, "Oh they're way far behind, ok we'll make alts and level up to him."
I feel like we're missing something obvious because there's no way the screaming hordes on xbox live would put up with that.

The multiplier, as someone mentioned to me in the first or second thread created, is actually to do with the amount of bullets coming out. So a revolver with 117x7 damage does 117 damage per bullet that leaves the barrel. Since for evey 1 shot you release 7 bullet you could in theory be doing 800-odd damage. ONLY IF ALL THE BULLETS HIT. I tested this on my revolver and can confirm that there was indeed seven bullets for every single pul of the trigger. (Only one bullet is actually taken off the ammo count though)

The X damage times Y projectiles weapons come up against enemy damage reduction y times. They also have y chances of critting, and depending on weapon type y chances of dealing elemental damage.
The upside is that used properly they nearly guarantee at least one crit an attack. The downside is that they have trouble chopping through high DR enemies like the front side of spiderants or skags.

From what I gather, you need to have the lowest level person host the game so you're doing their quests. Basically, you're always doing the hosts' quests.

For people who are editing their backpack sizes on PC.
Some dude on the SA forums is reporting that doing this can permanently screw with your backpack.
Also and MORE IMPORTANTLY if you have changed your backpack, any one joining your games might also get their backpacks changed too.
Something to do with the way the size of your backpack is saved or something.
