Some of the hints on the loading screen are just... what?
"Sometimes the safest thing to do is get out of your vehicle and use it for cover!"
I noticed that too
I don't think that sounds very safe, unless you like exploding, then it's safe
It's pretty safe at low levels. Where your car is near indestructible by the enemies.
As opposed to higher levels, when you hit a maniac and your car gets mangled like a hotwheels in an industrial blender.
Lately I have been killing myself coming out of phasewalk near any cars. I am a nova of destruction when I de-stealth. My rogue in WoW has lost some of her luster.

Yes, I think the whole concept of exploding in a glorious ball of destruction every time you go into/out of stealth is probably one of the greatest gaming concepts since "jump on enemy to kill enemy".
Axen on
A Capellan's favorite sheath for any blade is your back.
If you add this to your WillowInput.ini file it brings up the console with all the info about the weapon currently equipped. It's good for the weapons that take more than four lines in their description boxes. I hope there is a fix in the patch for this. I wonder if there is a way to show info about currently equipped class mod.
So uh... maybe I'm missing something, but through a combination of trying to mouse scroll and mashing enter in my inventory, I mistakenly equipped a shitty shock artifact I didn't want on top of the one that was already in there.
I've gone into the skill tree, moused over the artifact and gone into that menu, but I can't find any way to remove either of the two - I've also tried equipping an incendiary artifact from the inventory menu, but it simply gives a popup to the effect of "I can't do that," though I meet all the requirements.
Are characters limited to two equipped artifacts to swap between/is there any way of removing them once equipped?
I want a sniper rifle where the bullet fires, shoots off and then splits into lots of smaller bullets that hit the spot fired at with multiplier damage. Or the smaller bullets home in on nearby targets. Or a rocket launcher that does this.

you 'use' artifacts which then disappear from your inventory and you switch between them in the class skills menu. There's an icon to the left of the first skill icon that you click and it shows a menu of the artifact effects you can choose from

Er, yea, I've gotten that far - I thought that much would be clear from my post.
The point is, I can't seem to equip more than two artifacts, so I have two identical trashy shock artifacts equipped on my siren right now to choose from (or no artifact, I have that option). I've tried equipping two or three various other artifacts at this point, and am told I can't, though I meet the class/level requirements.

Really? For me the artifacts all are in that menu, and if I find a new shock one, it either levels up the shock artifact, or won't let me use it
You can't equip two of the same level and element artifact. I guess this is to stop you from "wasting" them.
I'm fairly certain the artifacts I'd found/bought since to test were higher level (also, incendiary != shock, but I suppose that could be part of it?
I had the
shock artifact from the Lost Caves quest
equipped initially, and the stuff I'm trying to equip now certainly has higher level requirements, for whatever that's worth.
You know, I suppose I haven't tried since I encountered this last night, so maybe a simple client restart has fixed it. I know it's helped with a lot of other weird shit I've come across already.

I found an orange sniper that did something like this. Jakobs GGN Long Skullmasher, fired off six (6) 100 damage shots at the same with a little to no spread. Did over 10,000 damage on crits too
I stopped using it though when I got 600 damage snipers with super fast fire rates and huge magazines that could do 10000 dmg in 3 seconds without crits
So has anyone tried messing around with some of the stuff in Willowgame.ini? I know that some folks're saying that changing some of the things like inventory and weapon slots can bork up your savegames, but apparently certain others like gravity are just fine. It'd be interesting to see if we can get some party or hell servers with like 16 players or 4x normal difficulty going on.
And my .ini files seem to be just fine, but then again I set them as read-only since they're apparently prone to resetting as it is.
1. Pearls can pop up at any time, but to be honest they're a joke (literily, I think) and your best gear will come from oranges, purples and even blues and greens.
2. I don't think so, but then again I honestly don't care for the dang things.
3. Nope, they're all heavy motherfuckers that slow you down.
Word on the Gearbox forums is that "pearls" are actually white items that spawned with a red flavour text mod, and the game mistakenly lists them at the top of the inventory due to that.
Don't have a link handy, but someone looked through game files and found a total of 7 rarity classes that correspond to white, green, blue, purple, yellow, light orange, dark orange.
For what it's worth, I've found two "pearls" already on my level 23 Siren - both Thanatos repeater pistols.
Bah, apparently messing around with the game difficulty string only works in multiplayer games, and of course I can't host for shit. So much for seeing what a 40-fold increase in difficulty does.

Wouldn't that still work if you "host" a multiplayer game that's just you?

I'd need some peon to actually kick the difficulty spike into effect, though.
Is there a way to move items from one character to another? I've found an incendiary berserker artifact on my hunter. I don't currently have a berserker character, so if any of you want it you can have it.
I'm not sure if pearls are a bug or a joke or what but has anyone ever actually got one that wasn't a thanatos repeater pistol with "Big Tony Says Hi!" on it?

Nope. So apparently it's either bugged out of its gourd or someone at Gearbox has a lousy sense of humor.
PEEWI: You could always try running two instances and putting both of them in a lan game.
So there was this patch I hear to make it so the game doesn't eat your skill points. Is that patch live on the 360, and is there any way to make sure I've got it?

I need more friends that play this game, the 5 I have just don't cut it, they simply don't understand that they need to be playing all the time

I don't think there is but I think you can bind it to your move forward key so it changes everytime you move forward.
All my settings change due to daylight savings time but while changing everything back to how I had it I found this gem.

Another problem with the pc port perhaps?
Wait, 90 isn't the defualt FOV? I thought 90 was the universal 3:4 FOV for games. 100/110 tends to be what people use for widescreen monitors

It's nice to finally have a launcher that performs well at long range.

Yes it did.

1. What level do I start seeing Pearls?
2. Are there Eiridian weapons in early NG+? Y/N?
3. *Are* there any non "big" gun Eiridian weapons?
