Glad I never have to take another math class again.

Astronomy has a ton of math so that practically counts. But after that I am done forever.

    We could have them.

But not use them on tests.

    Or the SAT.

And I can't use it on tests in college.

But it makes the homework less painful.

knowing the 89 it can probably solve sets of equations with equal sets of unknowns

gotta fire up MATLAB every time I need that

my friend tried to do that in calculus last year and failed miserably, but then again he's an utter moron
also he is going to be fucked if he does college level maths, they often don't let you use graphics calculators in exams

here I can literally get a physics degree in three years doing absolutely no classes that aren't physics or maths. It's pretty great, but I'm gonna keep doing a few chemistry papers because physical chemistry is piss easy when you're already doing real physics

    Ever.

Kinda blows when you can't remember special cases because they're mentioned once in recitation and never show up in the homework.

    Alternatively,

When they expect me to calculate e^x by hand. I can never remember what e is!

When I was in calc 3/dif eq, if it came down to calculating e^(bollocks), you either left the answer like that, or you did something wrong and you were suppose to take a natural log somewhere

yeah I don't see any reason why you would have to know how to calculate logs or powers of irrational numbers unless you are in the 50s or something, and even then didn't they just memorise tables of logs? That's what our really old maths teacher in high school said at least.

logs and natural logs. We were never actually taught how to calculate them in high school.

They always just had us go to the calculator.

I was taught how to do those for round numbers
And that a half a log step was actually 3/10 of a power or something

Nope. They ask us to calculate logs, natural logs, e^(bullshit), arcsin/cos/tan, and a bunch of other stuff high school made me rely on the calculator for.

I can do the actual calculus. Differentiation, integration, etc. etc. Where I fuck up is algebra bullshit like that.
