Nah, Fils-Aime is right on the money. MW2 will probably sell like 5 million copies by January and NSMB2 will sell like 10 million.

Well let's not get into that argument, the Wii is a worthwhile system, and has sold over 50 million units; so even if half of those users never turn on their system again, you've still got 25 million owners, nearly that of the 360.
It's true that when I owned a Wii, I'd rarely play it. But NSMB Wii is exactly the sort of thing that would make me play it.

I wasn't about to go hang out at a GameStop for that one. I could probably handle a Call of Duty crowd much better than a WoW crowd though... but yeah, just curious.
Looks like Amazon is giving a 20$ giftcard when you order MW2.. Making the game basically 39.99 (because let's face it, you're going to buy another game down the road) -- seems pretty appealing.

Haven't really turned off the PS3 since I used that delicious Wii-god-damn-it-nintendo-you-broke-my-heart money to buy it.
About the same here, I played the hell out of Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess and some old faves like Wonderboy 3.. then I just stopped playing on it. Sold it to a work colleague.
Strangely it's the same with my 360, however conversely I play on my PS3 regularly'ish. I just seem to have gotten bored of the 360, I never liked the interface (blades) even the revamp I don't like that much. I did like the Wii's UI as it was really well thought out. The XMB on the PS3 is pretty well thought out too.
BBC news just had like a 5 minute piece on MW2 which was kinda strange as right at the moment they're doing almost wall to wall (pardon the pun) coverage of the Berlin wall anniversary.

I love the counter point though - "make a difference, join the facebook group!". And that's from an MP too. Laughable really. I do agree that there needs to be a countervoice though.

The answer is it's not a challenge. Not at all.
There are more Wii's then PS3's or 360's, this is possible.
However total sales, no way in hell.
There is still no way in hell that NSMB Wii's numbers will beat MW2 on 360.
Unless there's some crazy midnight launch of NSMB Wii coming up with pre-orders in the hundreds at every store that I don't know about!

This is true. Mine is unplugged and covered in dust.
I played through Murmasa which was worth the money and the new contra, which was as well.
Other then that I've only played games on it I own on SNES/NES, it's just there to save space.
Plus it sounds like a buzz saw now, it's dieing. :x
