I love the counter point though - "make a difference, join the facebook group!". And that's from an MP too. Laughable really. I do agree that there needs to be a countervoice though.
Actually goes pretty well. Keith Vaz gets told to stop conspiring with the Daily Mail to manufacture moral outrage, that we do the best we can to keep these games out of children’s hands, and that videogames are an important British industry. The house agrees.
Also it should be noted that Keith Vaz is corrupt as hell, and there’s a fair amount of evidence he took bribes to vote yes on 42 day detention without trial among other things.

I have a Wal-mart closeby. I know Target didn't take reservations for MGS4, so I'm assuming Wal-mart doesn't either (anyone able to confirm that?)
Should I get there at midnight to try to obtain it? 11:00pm in case there's a line? Am I taking this too seriously?
It's not even that I want the game at midnight tonight. I don't have time to play it.
It's that come Wednesday-ish, I will want to play it. And Thursday, and Friday. I'm thinking no place will have it after tonight.
You should be able to just walk in at 11:55 and get a copy at Walmart, I know thats how its been for me the last couple times I've gone to grab a game at midnight (Gears 2, GTA IV). Like me and half a dozen people milling around while next door at GameStop there's a line of hundreds waiting outside. They also hand out all the swag usually to anyone buying the game, I got all the crap GameStop was shilling for pre-orders for Gears 2 from some register monkey at Walmart when I bought the game.
If you don't get it from there tonight it'll be everywhere tomorrow. Target, Best Buy, Walmart, Blockbuster, you're not gonna have a hard time finding a copy.

So I wasn't planning on getting this day one since I am a broke grad student, but my amazing mother said she would spot me money so I can play online with all of my brothers. Cheers to living half of the country away from them I guess. Now I just have to decide if I want to try and buy it at midnight or wait until tomorrow morning.
Also, does anyone know what kind of MP game modes are still in this? I didn't notice them in the OP and am curious to see what new things they came up with.
Man, you crazy people buying MW2 were ringing Sainsbury's all night, becuase apparently we have it cheapest in town. Drove my supervisor mad, oh the hilarity.
I on the other hand will be boycotting the game. Seems like the cool thing to do.
Demolition is a game mode where theres two targets that need to be destroyed, but I believe respawning is in, forcing the game to get hectic when the first explosion goes off and everyone is trying to make a push at the last point. Its like Sabotage with two bomb sites and one team is always offense, the other defense, then it switches when you win or lose.

Demolition sounds pretty interesting. I would've liked to see something like War that was in [email protected], since that was the only thing that I thought they did better. Oh well, as long as they still keep in the hardcore modes too.
Even though that's where they get most of their money, it's no excuse for a half-assed product (I'm looking at you Saint's Row 2). From all accounts it runs and plays fine on the PC but a lack of the ability to even host our own dedicated servers is just too much for me, so its a solid rent-until-its-beaten game
For those of you who are PC gamers, you should wait on buying Modern Warfare 2 from the retailers. The PC version comes with 2 discs but it seems that only the actually game is working and not the extra content.
The first DVD/Disc is about 6.9 GB which seems to be the standard size for games that are coming out now. Unfortunately, each drive refuses to recognize the DVD. The DVD drives rattle around and you can hear the disc just clattering in the DVD Drive. Now when something like this happens, questions comes to mind and that is if this is a manufacturing defect and if there are other discs out there that have this problem.
A German game magazine reports the same problem. Every drive in their editorial office refuses the second DVD (they have seven PC's and four copies Modern Warfare 2 for PC). They say it’s definitly a production error.
